“Mother's Day Buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2012

My boyfriend and son decided to take me out for Mother's Day lunch. My boyfriend called kinda late to make the reservations so the only time left was for 11am (Opening Time). We got there a little before 11am but they let us in anyway and seated us. The buffet had a variety of foods. It had alot of seafood and I am allergic to seafood, but that is not their fault. The Food was good. I Love their Chicken Noodle Soup (Its Homemade) and the Mashed potatoes and gravy were awesome. The Prime Rib was a little bland but very tender. I also did not put any of the au jous sauce on prime rib. The dessert bar was pretty good. I would definately do the buffet there again. Other than some small problems (really not that much at all) It was a great buffet. The staff is very nice and friendly and everyone was concerned whether we had a good experience. I recommend this resaurant.

“Nice Lunch, ambiance”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2012

We went to this restaurant on Easter Sunday. We did not have a reservation, but they were very helpful and found a place for us right away - and it was crowded for the Easter Brunch. We ordered from the regular menu; the Sunday special was "unlimited chicken." They have a different special (for $10) each day of the week. Service was excellent and friendly, even though they were very busy. Food was very good, but a little more salty than we like - especially the dressing. The dining room is large and bery nicely appointed. Our bill for three was about $35 for the mealand drinks. They have a full bar and some interesting Irish Coffee variations (which we, unfortunaterly, did not try). We will return!

“Great food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2012

We live less than 10 miles from the Dorsey House, the previous ownership was extremely poor. We've been to the Dorsey House several time since it opened under new management and every time the service has been great, the food very good, prices reasonable. I was surprised to read the earlier review where the customer had bad service, so contrary to our experience. Get a seat early on Fridays, they pack the place out!

“Great Fish Fry!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2011

Decided to try the Friday Fish Fry at Dorsey House and it didn't disappoint. My spouse had been to DH several times and always returned with compliments for the food and service. I now understand why she did.

Cod was light, flaky - AYCE, too!! Spouse had steak, done as requested, baked potato just right, too. Friends had fish/steak, as well, and they loved theirs. Only "lowlight" was dessert for us - we shared strawberry shortcake. The strawberries were processed in a heavy sweet compote - too sweet!!!! Friends apple pie ala mode was excellent!

Even the karaoke wasn't bad!
