“Great Stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2012

My husband and I stayed here from 5/29/12 - 6/3/12 when we were in town for a wedding. All the staff were extremely helpful and very pleasent to deal with. We usually stay at Hampton Inns but after reading about the Hampton Inn across the street here on Trip Advisor, we decided to give this hotel a try. We were very pleased. The beds were very comfortable, pool and hot tub very clean and the breakfast was so good we ate there every day - very unusual for us. We would highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed here for only one night in January. This hotel is everything you want in a hotel. It is clean, the rooms are nice, the TV works and there are plenty of chanels, there is a good breakfast bar, the staff was really nice and friendly, they baked and served fresh cookies in the afternoon. It is pretty close to some decent restaurants, and the highway. You have to do some driving to get to any of the lakefront activities; however. Overall, I was really happy with my stay.

There are a lot of good things to say about the Comfort Suites in Stevensville but the many
First, this is a very clean hotel, probably one of the best Comfort Suites properties in the country. Yet there was old soap caked onto the shower ledge that should have been cleaned by housekeeping. Not rocket science.

The room was good with a couple of "What the ______ were they thinking?" execptions. The beds were comfortable. The shower had sufficient pressure and was one of the best shower heads I've ever used in a hotel. (Unfortunately there was a little residual smoke smell in the bathroom--yuk!) The bedding was hospital clean, if not better. The walls, floors, etc., were all clean. Room lighting was better than average. The main light switch was lighted itself, a nice plus. Flat screen TV.

Now for the not so good. First, what's with the tiny "Red Roof Inn" type of square table instead of a desk-like table with sufficient space to work. The wifi was good, the extra outlets a plus but having a 1980's style little table with two chairs is simply disingenuous with a moden property for business travelers. More space and one good office-style chair would be better (there's a loveseat type sofa in the room, so one of the side chairs could go).

The real pain was the erratic refrigerator in the room. It was warm inside when we checked in. OK, sometimes you have to turn up the control dial in hotel room refrigerators -- I get that -- but this one had a dial plate that was broken and no instructions. I called down to the front desk and got someone whose English was hard to understand and she was of utterly no help, mentioning something about an automatic defrost cycle which, again, was hard to understand.

One reason we chose this hotel was the fact that it had a refrigerator in the room. We have special diet food that needs to be kept cold and this unit was simply unreliable. We need things to work as they should 100% of the time as business travelers. You can't keep food cold and frozen foods frozen when a refrigerator and freezer isn't working as it should plus the desk clerk I spoke to was of no help, period. Fortunately we had a little cooler in the car so we were able to keep everything cold rather than try to sleep wondering if the refrigerator is actually working. This is inexcusable, period. It either works or it doesn't and the staff is either helpful or not. Here both failed.

The "hot" breakfast was a little bit chaotic and the "hot" was more like "lukewarm" at best but the attendant was friendly and did her best to replenish food that was running empty.

I would not say "never again" to this place but it would take so little to get things right.

Checkin, btw, was friendly and informative.

This is my third stay. Very clean, good location (except for highway noise of 94 when the window is open) superb staff, and roomy breakfast area. The wireless internet connection is full bars throughout the building. Excellent 3-mile neighborhoor jog. Well priced. I've stayed at nearly every hotel in a 10-mile radius and this is the best bet.

Great hotel with a very friendly syaff. I have stayed here several times and its always a great stey. The exercise room has weights as well as treadmills and an eliptical. The breakfast has a big spread including blueberry and strawberry syrup for your pancakes. Quite inside with quick access to the interstate.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the north side to avoid the highway noise.

I stayed here while attending a continuing education course. The staff are friendly and fairly helpful. The room is clean and comfortable and the building seemed quite quiet. My room faced the highway but I noticed very little road noise inside. My only negatives are that the pillows are quite small and flatten immediately and the tissues are one step up from sandpaper. These are very small things and for the most part not terribly significant. Morning breakfast was good and not terribly crowded. I have more courses to attend in the area and will probably stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay and close to Silver Beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was our first time to the area and the staff was very helpful with directions and info on area attractions. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious. We will definitely be back!
