I had the worst hotel experience ever. I arrived at 2:30 am after driving from Canada for 5 hours. I asked for a room on the main floor b/c I was too tired to lung my suitcase upstairs. The attendant was nice enough to change it and I asked before going to the room was it non-smoking I should have guessed from his hesitation that it was not. The room smelled soooo bad; I sprayed it with febreeze and tried to sleep. The pillows smelled like smoke and so did my hair. The water in the sink didn't go down until I took out the piece in the middle that no longer functioned properly. I had breakfast and left. I returned after 5pm and sprayed the room and left the door open. I still couldn't breathe. I asked for a room change and the guy started yelling at me and said I was in the room for 17 hours. I said I have asthma and can't breathe in the room; he said he didn't care; made hand jesters that implied that I was dumb and said I don't understand anything. Eventually he changed my room that was slightly better after I said I was going to complain to head office. The whole place needs renovating; the remote control and fridge has cigarette burns.
