The Lockview is across from the Soo Locks with clean rooms and a nice breakfast that includes more than just sweet rolls and coffee, Bagels, Toast, English Muffins with egg, sausage and cheese, hot and cold cereal and more. Also near many good restaurants and shops. I've always had a good stay here.

We spent a night here on our trip to the Upper Peninsula. The location was perfect, directly across the street from the Soo Locks. Check in was easy and the clerk gave us a few tips about nearby restaurants. Our room was in the hotel part of the facility. The bed was comfortable, the room had a refrigerator which was a nice touch. The bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked. There was a rather thick layer of dust on the edges of the floor. Additionally, the hotel does not supply shampoo and the bar of soap was so thin that it broke into little pieces with one shower. The continental breakfast was very nice.

We spent one night here on a trip through the UP. It has the best location right across the street from the locks. No need to find parking as it was busy there. The check-in was quick and the man was very friendly. Our room was like a little bungalow looking unit where we parked on the grass in front of it. There were 2 queen beds done in a colonial style. There was a table with 2 chairs and a small dresser. We also had a refrigerator. That was not turned on when we got there so it took awhile for it to get cold unfortunately. The room was not modern and updated but it was charming. If we wanted to see ships come in we just went across the street. Very convienent. There was no pool or other amenities and we did not eat the continental breakfast. It was so easy to walk to restaurants and gift shops. Would stay again definitely.

We were on a bike trip halfway around Lake Superior. The cottages are very cozy and comfortable. Very unique atmosphere with the individual cottages, it is not like any other motel you have stayed at. The rooms were clean and the staff was very polite. It is walking distance to all the gift shops and bars. I high recommend staying at this motel.

If you like to watch ships go thru the locks and not have to worry about parking - this is the place. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Rooms are very well lit. Breakfast is adiquate. Parking is tight but doable. There are many gift shops on both sides of the motel . Soap is provided but not shampoo or hair dryers. We would definately stay here again.

Motel is within walking distance of nearly everything Sault Sainte Marie has to offer, and directly across the street from the locks visitors center. Rooms and cabins are available, I stayed in a room with one queen bed, which was very comfortable. Cost for a three night stay was $255 including taxes. The best value of my vacation. Rooms are large and nicely appointed. Toiletries and hair driers are not provided, except for soap. Housekeeping does a nice job of cleaning the rooms, and overall the staff was the friendliest and funniest of my trip. The balcony was nice for sitting back and watching the world go by. I can't wait to return.

Along with a great locatoin, this motel has neat and clean rooms, very friendly staff, comfy beds and everything you need for a "close to everything" stay in Saulte Ste Marie. We had room 102 which has a window that looks directly across the street to the locks. It's maybe a 2 minute walk to the viewing deck which we really appreciated when ships arrived late in the evening. We could hop acoss the street, watch the ships and be back to the room without the hassle of driving and parking. One little caveat, the amenities are slim pickings. No hair dryer was in our room but one was available at the front desk. Nice sized mini fridge in room. Bar soap is provided but shampoo etc is not. Breakfast includes great coffee, eggs, sausage, and delish cinnamon rolls. Also outdoor tables and chairs are placed in a green area with a view of the street and the locks. We found this to be a great place to relax and enjoy the view. We loved staying at this hotel and hope to do so again in the future.
