“Location and Privacy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

We stayed here for close to a week in June. Booking was easy as was key pick up and drop off. The location can't be beat as you can view the water from both suites. The suites are roomy and equipped for cooking (if that's what one wants to do) with a dishwasher. The bathroom was incredibly spacious. These are self-catered apartments that do come with towels and dishes as well as shampoo, etc. They don't do daily cleaning so if that is your thing, then you should look elsewhere. Personally, I liked not having to worry about someone tapping on the door to clean. The suites are small enough yet spacious enough that you can do a quick sweep (hard wood floors throughout and slate in bathroom), etc and things are nice and tidy. Internet was spotty though. I would definitely stay here again--probably upstairs for unobstructed views of lake (there was a truck parked in the driveway next door so the view was interrupted) and even more privacy.

Room Tip: Both suites are nice. Suite 2 would definitely be on our list next time for unobstructed views of la...

We just spent a wonderful weekend in Saugatuck and stayed in suite 1. The location was wonderful. The suite was clean and comfortable. We liked being near all the galleries, shops, and restaurants but appreciated the privacy the suite provided. We would definitely stay there again! Autumn in Saugatuck is fantastic!

Part of me doesn't want to review this place because then it won't be available when I want to stay in Saugatuck! My new husband and I stayed at Amazwi Suites for a weekend getaway after our wedding. We were looking for a spot that was close to the quaint downtown area but not in the middle of it all. Amazwi Suites fit the bill.

We stayed in the second floor suite and loved sitting on our outdoor patio with a bottle of wine while watching the boats on the lake and the people walking around downtown. As a city girl I loved the modern furnishings and comforts (jacuzzi tub, full-sized fridge) paired with the vintage building touches (exposed brick, hardwood floors).

In addition to the great digs, the staff managing the suites are fantastic. My contact Tom kept the porch lights on and left the key on the table for my late arrival. Then, upon hearing about our recent nuptials, he left a tasty bottle of wine and a note of congratulations on the front stoop.

I highly recommend Amazwi Suites and can't wait to make a return trip!

We stayed in the upper suite which is one of 2 units offered for rental. The suite was perfect for 2 people and included a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living room, beautiful bedroom with very comfortable queen bed and sitting area, bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and large closet.

The suite is located in the historic shopping district of Saugatuck, perfectly located for sightseeing and walking along the waterfront boardwalk.

We would highly recommend this room for couples looking for a quiet place for a romantic weekend getaway.

I stayed in Suite #2 w/ two girlfriends. This is great location. It is in walking distance of all restaurants and shops. The suite was clean and nicely decorated. Mike and Tom both readily answered all my questions and were nice to deal with. I would stay here again and also highly recommend it to others!

We loved this guest suite in Saugatuck, it was wonderful as restaurants and galleries are within walking distance to this guest suite. As soon as you walk out you are right by the Kalamazoo River..I believe that's what it's called. All appliances worked great. The kitchen had enough counter space and cabinets for groceries. This place is modernized and just felt good staying there. The bathroom has a wonderful jacuzzi and is updated and very clean...even had lots of bubbles in my bath. Overall this is a lovely place to stay when in Saugatuck, within walking distance to everything and this is a wonderful place. Even though this was on the ground level it was quiet. Oh, nice sitting area with cable to watch tv...me and the hubby highly recommend!!! Parking was right in front of area..car pretty much stayed parked.
