My wife and I were expecting to stay at the casino. This is a few miles south of the casino and right on Lake Huron. The view IS SPECTACULAR. The rooms are awful.

The A/C was a window unit retrofitted for a wall using 2x4s. The unit is also placed on the floor of the room 2 feet from the bed, and it clunks all night. The lowest setting is 68- so if you come in at 4pm on an 80+ degree day and turn it on, it's still warm at 11:30 when you want to sleep.

The room is not bug proof. Yes- I know bugs are expected by a lake shore. A pile of them behind the sink when we checked in IS NOT expected.

We had to go get our own soap and shampoo- the lobby staff said housekeeping must have forgotten it. They also forgot to wash the toothpaste splash off the mirror from the previous guests as well as the mildew from the misfitted drop-in tub surround.

We are not going to stay here again and advise others to avoid it

My family and I recently spent 4 days/3 nights at the Kewadin Casino Lakefront Inn in Saint Ignace, (July 2 - July 5) in one of the family suites. I'm surprised to be saying this, but I'm so grateful I procrastinated making reservations and missed the opportunity to stay in one of the high priced "National Chain Hotels", forcing me to seek out accommodations at the Kewadin Casino Lakefront Inn. What a little treasure they have there! Not only was the nightly rate far more affordable, the room was spacious and clean! We had a quiet, comfortable 3 nights stay after long days of seeking out the local attractions. The pool and hot tub were quite relaxing. The room was always neat and tidy when we returned in the evening, the housekeeping team does an outstanding job. But the most delightful part of our stay at the Kewadin Casino Lakefront Inn was Sara at the front desk. Sara was professional, courteous and always pleasant to deal with, even during rushes on check in's when one would expect a bit of frustration. Anything we requested, be it an extra roll or toilet paper, coffee packets or an additional pillow, she was right on top of it and made sure we had what we needed straight away. That young lady is a true asset to the hotel service industry and I truly hope she is recognized for the outstanding customer service she provides. The Kewadin Casino Lakefront Inn made our family vacation that much more enjoyable. I will be sure to recommend this facility to all my friends and family, and will be sure to stay here when traveling north again.

Like everyone has said the outside is run down but the rooms were ok. Agree the bugs are horrible at night but to be expected by the lake. The only complaint I had on our room was the gap unfer the door the bugs came in at night. My folks room was a different story. They had a loud and noisey air conditioner. When asked if they could switch rooms they were no longer lake front even though there was rooms available. When asked for a price adjustment for being moved away from lake front they said there was nothing to do. There really was no breakfast to speak of. The casino needs to dump some money in this place and make things right with customers.

We stayed there and thought the room was fine even though the outside looks poor. I noticed they charged my credit card twice as much as the room cost so I asked as I was checking out and the girl became very rude and told me that's the way their system works and it would drop off in a day or two. It finally dropped off my account but I think this is a poor practice and the attitude was enough to keep me from going back.
