“OK motel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

Took a weekend trip to the UP and stayed at this place when the highest ratest Tripadvisor places were booked. The room was spacious and clean. Free breakfast more than adequate. There's a good mexican restaurant across the street. It's 1 1/2 miles into the downtown from the motel.

I walked into the office to see a sign that says no pets, but yet the girl at the desk is playing with a black lab behin the desk that just run out from behind it and jumps on guest.. What if people are allergic? My daughter is and that dog jumped on her and the girl didn't say anything. Everythig else was great!

Decent lodging, and the front desk saved us $25 by giving us a coupon for 2 for 1 on the Arnold Line ferry to Mackinac Island. Beds were firm but I'm ok with that. It IS across the street from Lake Huron, but there are many places ON the lake if that's your bag. As others have said, their continental breakfast is minimal so head for McDonalds that's what we did....I gotta have a substantial breakfast!

Room Tip: Get a ground floor room so ya don't have to lug yer stuff upstairs,eh?

Not the cleanest or most comfortable place to stay but affordable for the area.
The room was very musty/moldy smelling. Couldnt put anything in the drawers due to them smelling like dirty wet clothes were left in them!! Gross. The whole family was congested and sneezing whenever we were in the room. Walls are thin. Beds basic. Pool was questionable. Foggy appearance with white foam floating on top. Walked into the breakfast bar & walked right back out.
Coffee pots nasty and dirty.
I would pay the extra amount for comfort and better amenities.

Room Tip: SPLURGE! if you choose to stay then get on the second level. Like I said if you just need a quick pl...

Very basic clean room. They say they have "extra's" but not, it's just the basic's. Very light breakfast,NOT a FULL breakfast, cold cereal, mini muffins/bagels, boiled eggs, coffee, juice. But there was no coffee ay 930am. Price line $52 a night.

Room Tip: if u just need a room to sleep and shower. It will work for u.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, and got a good rate ($53) online. A perfectly nice basic motel. Our room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds, cable TV, and adequate toiletries & shower pressure. There is a new & large breakfast room with standard continental breakfast (cereal, juice, toast, bananas, Lender's mini-bagels). The staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is about 1 mile to the edge of downtown St. Ignace, the ferries, and the boardwalk. The one downside: weak to non-existent Wifi. So, no complaints! Convenient, clean and welcoming. [P.S. Travelers beware if you are coming to St. Ignace in late May. Swarms of 'May bugs' will get on your car, clothes, in your face. Not a problem IN the hotel, but everywhere outdoors.]

basic motel without any frills. Clean, everything worked (except the printer for the credit cards and the internet one day). Very bare bones breakfast, cold cereal, mini muffins/bagels, boiled eggs, coffee, juice. Within walking distance of a pasty shop and a restaurant. A little outside of downtown St Ignace (need to drive or walk a ways). Only way to get a AAA rate is on the internet, they would not do it in person. Probably would stay elsewhere if rooms available. Has indoor pool and hottub.
