“Great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

My husband and I stayed here July 19 and 20th 2013. This is a nice little motel, VERY clean and cozy! The knotty pine room was very welcoming and comfortable. This is just what we needed for our visit to the area, very close to the casino, restaurants and area attractions. Thank you Tim and Kathy, we had a great stay and we will definitely return!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

We stayed here on July 5, 2013, in the middle of a 10-day driving trip, and as a base for visiting Mackinaw Island. Kathy was warm and responsive from the first email requesting information to the final checkout; our stay could not have been better. Clean and spacious bathroom, comfy bed, lovely cross-ventilation, warm knotty-pine interior, even ESPN when we needed to catch up on tennis. We may have been lucky to have quiet neighbors and lovely weather during our stay, but I suspect we would have liked the place anyway.

Room Tip: Room 5 has windows on three sides, and a large bathroom.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Our visit was June 13-15, 2013. Hosts Kathy and Tim took our reservations efficiently, and accommodated a few schedule changes before we got there near the end of a 4,500 mile road trip. This is a classic motor court or motel property. The interiors of the rooms are done in wonderfully old fashioned knotty pine, and the facilities are basic but comfortable. Though far from new, the rooms have everything we needed, and were kept spotlessly clean by Kathy every morning. We avoided the big-chain hotels and tourist traps for this little bit of charm. Kathy has great hot coffee and fresh-baked snacks with breakfast every morning. The rates are affordable, and the best bargain in the Mackinaw region. Good internet connections on the motel's access point.

Room Tip: We had rooms 1 and 5, and both were excellent.

I Visit St Ignace Twice A Year And Always Stay At The Cedars. Kathy & Tim Are Very Personable And Take Great Care Of All The Guests. Bonfires Are Awesome Too! I Really Enjoyed Kathy's Homemade Banana Bread This Last Visit!

My wife and I stayed here on a spur of the moment trip to St. Ignace. What a wonderful experience it was. Other motels could learn a thing or two about service from Tim and Kathy! They were great hosts, and the room was just perfect. It is super close to the casino too! We will definitely stay here again.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2012

My husband I stayed at this cozy motel Sept 2012 and had a wonderful experience. Super clean and cozy right down to a fireplace in our room. The notty pine interior really made you feel like you were in a cabin in the woods. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Bonfires at night along with smores and great conversation with other guests. Thanks Kathy and Tim for a wonderful time. Hope to visit you next year. Jeannie & Walt
