“Excellent Choice Near Airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

We have stayed at several hotels in this area and we enjoyed this one the best. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. The breakfast was about par with other hotels. The pool and hot tub were small but nice. Shuttle service was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel will be our first choice when flying out of Detroit.

I've stayed at many Detroit airport hotels, but this one was a surprise, it was tucked back off the Main Street so it was quieter than most, the dark tones of the floors and walls in the lobby was very calming. The driver was nice and gave lots of info. Bed was really comfy and the breakfast was good. I love when a room has a refrigerator and microwave!

Stayed only one night while visiting the Ford Museum. This was a reasonable distance from the museum. It was easy to access from the freeway. The room was quiet (which is frequently not the case that close to the airport). The breakfast was the standard Hampton breakfast (which is good). The pricing was reasonable for what you received.

I would stay here again if I was in the area

I seldom give hotels 5 stars, but this one does it for me. We were in Detroit for a college football game and decided to stay close to the airport. We landed early and since they had rooms available, they let us check in early. What a life saver that was for us!!! I just can't say enough about how nice the service was!!! Special thank you to the gentleman working the front desk (wish I'd gotten his name) on the morning of August 31st. What a gem!!! The room are very modern & clean, breakfast was good and we were just very pleased all around with this hotel!!!

Upon arrival on a late afternoon Sat 8/31/13 our reservation was quickly confirmed by the super friendly, very courteous member of the front desk. Regretably I do not recall his name, he joked with us as we signed the hotels no party clause, apparently they can evict upon any sign of partying and I told him we were having a wild one. Once we arrived in Room 505 the king room met all expectations and the room was clean in appearance and smell. There was no incident with room except for a late night bathroom trip and an annoying buzzing coming from ventilation system. At first i thought it was a bad flourescent bulb but upon turning of light, it was determined not to be the bulb. Going back to bed could still hear this fly buzzing and trying with all its might to escape. In the morning this thing was still going full throttle. Went down to breakfast and interacted with some of the friendliest housekeeping I'd ever came across. the breakfast was pretty normal for a Hampton, but I overheard another guest tell the lady running the breakfast that the waffle batter was empty and she responded in not such a polite way that "its gonna be a while cause i dont have any made." Other than that all of the other staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was excellent. Would defenitely return if we were in Detroit.

Room Tip: If you request room on east side of hotel there is more to view, the west side is perpendicular to t...

They were happy to pick me up at Hertz when I turned in my rental car. Very friendly drivers and right on time as scheduled. Great breakfast as usual but breakfast staff was exceptional Will stay here again

Hotel is very nice - all you would expect from a hotel during couple days stay between the flights. Hotel's stuff is very nice, rooms are cosy and clean, breakfast is very nice too. Hotel has inside pool and a hot tub, towels are provided near by the pool.
Especially want to say about the bed - very comfy, soft. Sleep was awesome.

Room Tip: Try to ask for the better view (highest floor), but any room is good
