We had high hopes for Ganbei. This was our first and last time there. There were two other tables on a slow Monday night. Our appetizer was the potstickers. They cannot be beat. Really good.
We ordered the Kung pow and the other couple ordered the general Tsaos chicken. We waited for quite a while for our food. Then the bowls of rice showed up. Then we waited again. And waited. Then our food finally showed up. One of the people we were with immediately said "Wow the portion is much smaller than the last time I was here."
Our meal mostly consisted of uncooked onions and peppers.
At least they could have cooked the vegetables.
There was a smattering of pieces of baby corn and a couple peapods with the hunks of chicken. It just wasn't really the right combination of vegetables to call it a stirfry. The sauce was spicy and flavorful.
Then we realized that we had never received the egg rolls promised before the meal. The waitress apologized and brought them promptly but we had already finished eating most of our dinner at that point.
Overall not a worthy dining experience for the price.
