“Beautiful Mansion and Grounds”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2014

A tour of Meadow Brook Hall gives you insight into both architecture and culture during the early part of the 1900s. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Visitors get to see many rooms within the mansion and learn interesting facts about Matilda Dodge and her family. The grounds are also lovely with two quaint cottages just a short walk away and a lovely gazebo with beautiful plantings nearer to the mansion. The gift shop also had nice items. We love house tours and felt this ranked high on the list of many we have seen.

“Traveling back in time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2014

Meadow Brook Hall is a gem of a place, a real jewel for Oakland University. The Hall has been lovingly restored and transformed from what was once thought by OU administrators as a white elephant into a fantastic venue for weddings, meetings, special occasions. Tours through the home are a fun and educational way to spend part of an afternoon.

“Holiday Must See”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

Meadowbrook Hall is a significant part of Detroit's automotive heritage. Built by Matilda Dodge (of the Dodge automotive family) this mansion is a cultural and architectural jewel nestled within hundreds of acres of land as part of the Oakland University campus 30 miles north of Detroit in Rochester MI. Come anytime for an architectural tour or even better come during the holidays for a festive display of Christmas ornamentation. Same historical significance as Greenfield Village if on a much smaller scale.

“amazing place and great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

The Hall is an amazing place. The craftsmanship is just beautiful and the Christopher Wren dining room is a treat. The food was also excellent. This was for a business meeting and the staff was very attentive.

“Go Early”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

The fourth largest mansion in the U.S., is a must see. Go early before the big groups come, expecially on the discount ticket senior days. Christmas can be busy. There are speciality tours listed on the website and discount coupon s available on the internet. Look before you go. The ticket price without is at $20 each. No photos inside which is disappointing.
