We stayed here Nov 7 which is their off season. The hotel has an upscale lobby with an intimate lounge and fireplace with occasional entertainment. The staff is professional and courteous. They provide a shuttle to the casino if needed. The rooms are larger than your standard Super 8, Best Western types. There is in-room coffee but no complimentary breakfast of any sort. They do have a restaurant on premise. Elevators are not centrally located to rooms but to the extreme end of the halls which makes a long walk to your room if you're at the opposite end and is compounded by the fact that the only entrance to the hotel is through the lobby door. I liked the fact that the rooms are thermostatically controlled, unlike most where the heat is either on or off.

The only problem we experienced was the lack of sound insulation. I could hear our neighboring guest when I was in the bathroom! The halls were somewhat noisy in the evening too. Whether they were casino partyers or overnight guests from the wedding reception that was going on I don't know. We just turned the TV up. I paid cash for the bill but was charged on my credit card also, which I called to report the error. The staff was courteous about it but I had to call them back two more times because they didn't follow up to confirm the fix.

A while back when surfing for a getaway for my wife and myself,i ran across this sweet deal. The Victories hotel/casino in Petoskey Mi. offered a $39.00/night special. Why the cheap rate? They are remodeling. We could live with that. The room was nice,the view was great,the staff very friendly and the perks nice to. Most important,the room was very clean and sanitized. I do have to make a comment about the friendly staff. All of there employees,from the desk staff,to the cleaning staff, always greeted you each time you saw them. This really made our stay special,what a assest they all are to the hotel.
