“Dunes R Us!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Well maintained paved trail! We rented our bikes, helmets and lock and hopped on the trail to Petoskey State Park. We drove by glorious seaside cottages ( valued at a half million dollars), lovely wild flowers, and some historic sites. We ended up at the Petoskey State Park. We were able to easily park our bikes to use the beach, climb dunes and look for Petoskey stones. It was a great way to enjoy the day within 11-, and 13-year old.

“Don't miss this”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

One of the great things about being on vacation is doing things that you can't do at home. I would guess that most of us do not have a beautiful, well maintained, lakefront trail near us. Bring or rent a bike and spend a few hours or all day enjoying the scenery. Pack a lunch if you are at all adventurous and enjoy eating lakeside. It's not a particularly difficult trail but it is beautiful and shouldn't be missed.

“A rare Gift”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

As an avid biker (leisure) I am spoiled and lucky to live in an area where the Govt. along with civic groups work so hard to provide wonderful facilities such as our Wheelway. I use this about twice a week while living currently in Crooked Tree halfway between Harbor Springs and Charlevoix.. I either ride to Harbor Springs and back, Charlevoix and back, or into Petoskey for breakfast or lunch. Both routes take the rider safely through classic neighborhoods and along winding routes along Lake Michigan. There are ample places to stop and rest at roadside parks, downtown Petoskey or Harbor Springs parks, East End Park or bench's. They recently added a path from Petoskey to Alanson and are working on the route from Charlevoix to Boyne City. Most of the ride is flat with a few small grades.

“Breathtaking Lake Michigan views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Don't miss the chance to ride from Petoskey to Charlevoix and points beyond with amazing views of Little Traverse Bay. Plenty of places to stop and picnic and just be glad you're fortunate enough to live in or vacation in Northern Michigan. This bike path is beautiful in all seasons -- flat and accessible for all levels of riders.

“Beautiful place to ride, walk or run!”

Little Traverse Wheelway is a great place for the entire family to see the sights. It goes along the Bay and can take you to Bay Harbor for lunch or towards Harbor Springs.
