“Wonderful Meal..... with a caveat...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Our experience was wonderful.... food fresh and wonderfully prepared. Our salad with grilled peaches won the day! Fish was seared perfectly and the entire restaurant was filled with a happy buzz.

The only glitch was the wine... We had decided on a Sancerre and a person who was not our server or the owner came to our table and managed to talk us out of a wine we knew to be wonderful and more less insisted that we try a Sauvignon Blanc from Traverse City. The longer the wine was open... the less pleasant it became and the more we regretted not sticking to our original choice. This peculiar wine was a cross between an overdone New Zealand grapefruit bomb and a catbox.

Despite this curious incident, it won't dissuade us from returning. We'll just choose our own wine.

“What a find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

We stopped for an early lunch on a Sunday. Cute/bistro-like décor, on a pseudo cliff with a terrific view of the lake. There was a storm coming in and it was spectacular. Although not a "kid friendly" environment, there was a toddler at the next table and the wait staff was great with him. We had the grilled three cheese sandwich, which was fabulous, and an omelet. Everything was wonderful. Nice atmosphere & decor, clean bathrooms, efficient and very pleasant wait staff. We'll make a point of going there again next trip

“Not meeting their potential”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

Mesmerizing view, appealing modern decor, and friendly service do not unfortunately outweigh disappointing results from the kitchen. We visited twice for dinners during vacation and experienced very uneven dishes----one excellent entree which brought us back a second time, everything else meh or below on both visits. Everything we tried sounded better than it turned out to be. Also way too much oil used in cooking.

“The Ambiance & Scenery Are Better Than The Food & Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

Had lunch of their lemon rosemary chicken soup and 3 cheese flat-bread. The soup was flavorful but there was just way too much cheese on the flatbread ( and I do like cheese). The ice-tea was weak and lacked flavor. Prices OK and service was very slow up front but picked up speed during the course of the meal. Beautiful scenery of the harbor and point at lighthouse.

“Great Breakfast and Lunch spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

Every time I go to this restaurant I am surprised at how good the food is! Always fresh ingredients, I especially love the veggie burger for lunch. You can't go wrong ordering anything here!
