Petoskey KOA is our favorite campground! We have been camping here for many years now and the staff have watched our children grow up. Every time we camp here, we feel like we are coming home. The staff even know our children by their names. There are always fun activities to keep the kids busy. The sites are large and paved, which is wonderful since one of our children has special needs. We will continue to visit Petoskey KOA every summer.

The service was second to none. We were escorted to the site and that made us feel like we really mattered! Friendly staff, clean sites. Only concern was Mr Skunk that decided to visit, but he went away without incident. Certainly not the fault of KOA.

We make an annual trip to Petosky KOA for the 4th of July. to visit friends in Harbor Springs. It is a wonderful family place and one of if not the best campground in the US. The staff is always helpful and friendly and the campgrounds are well maintained. It is well worth the value.

Was our favorite spot to camp for the last 20 years while it was being operated by the Rose family. The last few years, although still owned by the Rose family, the park is being run by employees and the change is evident. We used to go for three weeks a year and then cut it to one week and this year I am considering cancelling my reservation and going elsewhere. Last year they were all about the rules to the point that you felt big brother was watching. This year they had cars parked on the grass, screened in temts and kids in the hot tub. We are nearing retirement and looking for a place to park our 5th wheel for the summer. We have asked several times at the office about seasonal sites but nobody ever bothered to get back to us with any information. We are very disappointed that our favorite area in Michigan no longer has our favorite campground.

Hello Brian, thanks for taking the time to leave your thoughts about our campground here on TripAdvisor. We do our best every single year to find the perfect balance between the rules we enact to ensure all of our campers have a great time and not enforcing them too strictly. Please accept our apologies that the balance wasn't as easy to see during your visit and we'll absolutely review those policies to ensure they are being followed. Know that we are constantly trying to improve and would love to have you as a seasonal guest if we have any openings. Please reach out to our office again and I'm sure someone will be able to assist you.

Pros: Clean, nice pool, friendly staff, cute cabins
Cons: So many skunks! Cleaning supplies used in cabins smelled very bad. Expensive. Says wifi is available everywhere, but really only works when you are sitting next to the main lodge.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review of our park. I'm sorry to hear you weren't completely satisfied during your recent visit. Wildlife, and on occasion skunks, are unfortunately part of the territory during a night spent outdoors and as much as we'd love to have them move on, we can't force them to do so. What we can do is evaluate the types of cleaning supplies we use in the cabins to see if we are using too much or if we can at least air out the cabins prior to guests arrival. We're also constantly in discussions to improve our WiFi coverage throughout the park so I hope you'll give us another chance. Honest feedback like yours only helps us improve!
