My husband took me to this wonderful inn for my 37th birthday. From the moment we stepped foot on the grand front porch I knew he and I were going to have a great time. We were greeted by a smiling desk clerk. We were surprised to see a bar in the side lobby. Everything we read said that we were in a "dry" inn. Apparently there have been some changes in policy. This did addition did not distract from the atmosphere one bit. All of the staff were smiling and generous. We hope to get back for my 38th.

I have never had a more wonderful experience in my 82 years. The staff, the food, the service was excellent. Could not have wanted for anything more. The Perry Hotel, the sister hotel, was also as excellent. Less formal but just as great. Thank you again for the pleasent experience.

What a wonderful experience and staff. Cannot say enough about the service, smiles and everyone made us feel so welcomed. Food was the best that I had tasted on our trip thru Michigan. Highly recommend this and The Perry Hotel as "A must see or stay in place".

Stafford's Bay View Inn has become our home away from home since our honeymoon. We have always been happy with the food and service and it's nice to go to a place where people remember who you are even when you only visit a few times a year. Customer service has always been a priority at Stafford's and I was quite surprised by the two negative reviews (perhaps those customers are the ones who always like to complain!) The food at all of Stafford's restaurants has been very good and we will always make a return visit to the Bay View Inn.

FYI: In regards to the beer and wine issue: you can bring your own beer or wine to the restaurant and they will be happy to serve it to you at no additional "cork charge." Bay View Inn regulations prohibit any establishment from selling alcohol.
