“Whitefish Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2014

It's now been at least 8 years ago that I was at your Fish House, but I have never had such an excellent meal. I mean, the fish was caught 2 hours before I was eating it. Couldn't be fresher than that!

Service was above and beyond also. Had to wait a half hour before we could get in, but that was because we had gotten there before it opened!

Excellent choice.

“Great local spot! Rustic U.P. dining.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

Good fresh fried whitefish, not huge portions, but adequate. Loved the fried mushrooms. Owner/chef very friendly as was the wait staff. You don't go there for the ambiance, but for the food. The Paul Newman packets of dressing, etc. were unexpected, but tasty enough. It would have been nice to have a full serving of coleslaw, instead of the little paper cup. Will go back whenever in town. Go there, and enjoy!

“Best whitefish ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

Found this place on TA while we were on vacation at Tahquamenon Falls, and went about 30 miles out of our way because it got such great reviews....& they were right! The fish was incredible! Wish I lived closer, we'd be there all the time!

“Fresh Fish - cranky waitress...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

We showed up and waited patiently for the FRESH whitefish but I shared an uneasy chuckle with my husband as we watched/listened to a waitress rudely interacting with patrons. We still discuss it and area very thankful our waitress was friendly and helpful! *We felt very sorry for the family on the receiving end...

“Fresh fish”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

Don't let the exterior put you off. This place is for real. There is a counter to buy fresh fish and a restaurant. Had whitefish, walleye, and trout. All were off the charts good. The staff is just fine folks with good attitudes, this is out in the sticks, not fancy city folks.
