We had the pleasure of spending several nights at this hotel in early August, '10, as our son's wedding was held there.
We found everything to our liking and satisfaction.
The room was excellent. Nicely appointed, and very comfortable.
The reception staff, the "Navigators," were the best.They were extremely helpful, and attended to our every request and need. They are likely the best group we have had the pleasure of dealing with.
And the location was terrific.
Based on our stay, we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect with a completely suburban Renaissance property. I chose it because it was convenient to a business meeting and had some solid TA reviews.
From the moment I checked in, everything exceeded expectations. The lobby was packed with young professionals enjoying drinks and conversation. The decor is trendy elegant. The property put a lot of thought and money into making the hotel a trendy location.
Upon check-in, I was upgradted to an Executive Suite because of my Gold status. It was without question, the nicest hotel room I have stayed in. There was a separate living/dining area and bedroom. The dining area had a wet bar fully stocked with complimentary soda and water. The bedroom was large with a nice workspace and an electronic power station with 10 different chargers depending on your device. The bathroom was all marble with dual sinks, a jacuzzi and separate shower.
My rate came with a $20 dining credit and the on-site Toasted Oak restaurant was solid. It seemed to attract a large local clientele.
I have a wedding back in the Detroit area in February and will be staying again. I cannot wait!
And if you like shopping, Twelve Oaks mall is literally across the parking lot.

Family and out of town wedding guests stayed in the newly renovated rooms at the hotel following the wedding reception we had at the hotel. Not only did we receive many positive comments about the wedding reception, the guest were very pleased with the room accommodations. We heard great things about the decor and comfort of the rooms.

The Baronette Renaissance was beyond all our expectations, our Daughters Wedding. All the out of town guests stayed at the hotel. California to the East Coast. The rooms and service were exceptional. The Wedding coordinator - Megan White - was like having a personal wedding planner, perfect. The Wedding Reception was elegant with a lovely cocktail hour/ the outdoor patio was a great. The banquet coordinator went above and beyond. The variety of photo sites was wonderful.

The guests enjoyed The Toasted Oak Grill and Market during their stay. The hotel staff met our guests late night requests. Our guests range was Grand Parents to children.

I recommend The Baronette Renaissance. The entire experience from complete wedding planning to the ELEGANT WEDDING RECEPTION , was beyond ALL EXPECTATIONS!
