“Convenient and fresh”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

Ordered carryout at this roadside taco stand for a quick dinner and was very satisfied with the meal. We ordered off the ala carte menu and got the Jr burrito with steak (which is huge), the chicken quesadilla, two chicken flautas, and a small side of guacamole.
We were very pleased with everything. Although my quesadilla was more like a soft taco than a flat grilled quesadilla like I am accustomed to seeing, it was still delicious. The guac was fresh and a good serving for the price. Loved their hot sauce too.

“Yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

We've been coming to New Buffalo/Union Pier for 20+ years and we always make a stop at Rios. The quesadillas, homemade chips & guacamole are great! Rios is what it is--a local joint that serves fresh & delicious Mexican food. Want table cloths and strolling mariachi bands? Head somewhere else. We love Rios just as it is--nice and simple.

“Good food, and plenty of it. Overpriced.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013

They were out of horchata the last time I was there, but they usually have it. They do prepare food without cilantro for those of us who don't like the taste of dirty dishwater. The food is bountiful. A burrito is a meal. The price was high.

“Blah”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 26, 2013

After all the raves on tripadvisor I had high hopes for the food, not the atmosphere. We were there on a sunny day in spring and ordered a few options to see what we liked best. The food was fresh, possibly authentic, but flavorless. Three different options all tasted identical. The fish taco was the best option, but bland too. Go only if you're starving and bring your own salsa.

“not a bad taco stand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Food is good and relatively inexpensive. nothing fancy here - but the food is consistently good. I did get a hair in a burrito once, that soured me on the place for a little while - but have been back since and has been good. I stick to the ala carte menu as the rice and beans are alright but not knock your socks off. Also - the food doesnt come with chips and salsa like some places, so dont expect it unless you order them.
