“Always excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Always a wonderful stay! Rooms are superior! Even have lights in the closets. Bottled water is free. Staff is excellent! Rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. Wifi is free. Casino is large, and excellent. You will not be disappointed. Great rate cause we are club members and took the sun-wed special rate. Not much open for breakfast. Will order room service the next time. We always eat at the buffet for dinner. Not the best but not the worse buffet I have had. Will try the hard rock next time.

A wonderful alternative to Las Vegas. I stayed in the new section of the hotel. The rooms were large, very clean, large flat screen television, nice sized bathroom with great water pressure and showerheads. There was no bathtub in the room I stayed at. However, while the room was nice it was overpriced. The casino was large with many different types of slots to play and easy to navigate. The Hard Rock Café had a nice selection of food and was reasonably priced. Timbers was o.k. for a quick bite and I believe it is open 24 hours. All in all good experience. I will return.

We arrived on Monday and asked if there were any upgrades to a junior suite available-they very kindly accommodated us(unfortunately not complimentary) even though the hotel appeared to be quite crowded. Our junior suite was on the 4th floor where the old section meets the new so our room had an added "bump out" giving us yet another "room". My only concern at the beginning was the fact that we were next to the vending/ice area, but we honestly never heard a sound from there. The suite was immaculate, had a refrigerator for my insulin, a coffeemaker with plenty of Starbucks(& you were invited to call housekeeping if you needed more) and two bottles of water a day. The WiFi worked very well and my husband only had to go around the corner to the elevators to pick up his morning newspaper. We had an early dinner at Hard Rock the first night-it was your typical Hard Rock restaurant but made special by our lovably kookie waitress, Brittany. She was a hoot! After slots and probably too many cocktails(the bartenders at the sports bar & the martini bar are really awesome!)we headed up to the room. My only complaint with the bed are those square pillows that every hotel seems to use now-I just can't get comfortable with them! We ordered room service breakfast each morning and it was delivered promptly, hot and very tasty. After touring Michiana Shores and Long Beach we returned the second evening for dinner at the buffet. I was terribly disappointed in it after reading how other people enjoyed it. Nothing was very tasty, except my husband ate the oxtails and herring and enjoyed them, but the prime rib, brisket, etc. were just not up to par. I realize we weren't paying for the best in town, but the prime rib was tough and the brisket was very dry. A number of the Asian offerings outdid all the others! Even the desserts were dry-not the FW chocolate cake-that was a winner. We had fun in the casino(as we always do), but it would have been more enjoyable had we won just a little :( The absolute best part of this Resort and Casino are the staff. Even though I am sure they are not terribly well-paid, each and everyone greeted us warmly, smiled, joked around with us and just generally made us feel very welcome-so kudos to the HR department who certainly seem to know who to hire and how to train them! Since this will be our only vacation this year, I am glad we choose Four Winds rather than going back to our usual "free" hotel.

We loved the "Lodge" feeling of this Casino/Hotel. We stayed for 2 nights, 9th floor room that faced the woods at the end of the hall & VERY QUIET !! We liked that it had a mini fridge & coffe maker. The room was spacious & bathroom was very nice with a large step in shower. We ate at the Buffet, it was very good. We played Slots, plenty of machines, won a little...had fun playing some "themed" machines. Had drinks at the Hard Rock Cafe & traded HRC Pins with the staff. We spent our "earns points" in the gift shop, (we are 4 hours away & can't really come every weekend)......Drove into the beach area of New Buffalo, really nice sand dunes & small Lighthouse. Would like to come in the summer....

I love the Four Winds. I've stayed in a few different rooms and have loved them all! They are newly remodeled and very spacious. The casino is clean, huge, and a lot of fun. The Hard Rock Cafe has great food and is reasonably priced.

Three stays & I am very pleased with both the rooms & employees. The rooms are very clean & the beds are very comfortable. Can't lose with the hotel. The casino seems to be tight on the slots, but not a problem for me as I play roulette. The dealers are very professional and pleasant. Will be back more than just a fourth time.

We stayed in one of the newer room's of the hotel and was a little disappointed that the room was so much smaller than the original rooms. There was only a shower, but the room was clean and the beds very comfortable.
