I loved the place a lot. We stayed there for a weekend, as the hotel is close to le Mont Saint Michel. The hotel is lovely and charming, the owner is really nice and helpful. We stayed in the "Margaret" room, which was really nice. The bed was soooo comfortable! :-) I loved the decorations everywhere. The breakfast was delicious too. Definitely recommended! ;-)

From the moment we drove into the parking lot of Hotel La Ramade, we knew that we were staying at a special place. The landscape and gardens are beautiful. Then we went inside to visit our room and was even more amazed at the decor and design. Our room was spacious and beautiful. Also, the owner was very helpful with our accommodations and assisting with direction to our next destination. The only thing missing from this establishment is a pool. We will be back.

Sincerely,
Errol & Irene.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Marguerite room and it was very nice. It is a little more costly, but is well worth...

If you are travelling around this área pay a vist to this hotel. It will be a charming experience.
A quiet surrounding.Unforgattable breakfast in an ambience exquisite listening soft classical music.
Rooms all with a different decoration and changing color towels everyday.
A beautiful garden to stroll it in the mornings.
The only problema for people with some disability is the lacking of elevator.

Room Tip: No elevators .Consider it if you are experencing some disability.

This is a very charming hotel close to Mont St. Michel and the Normandy beaches. The rooms are wonderfully decorated in floral motifs. Beautiful setting and very helpful owner. Would highly recommend! Wished we could've stayed longer!

Loved our stay here! The rooms and the house are beautiful - tastefully decorated with an eclectic collection of well placed curios, fine fabrics and country antiques. Veronique was a fantastic hostess and made us feel very welcome.
Breakfast was delicious, with a vast range of foods on the self serve buffet, including a rather smart gadget which I have never seen before - allowing one to boil eggs to perfection!
We booked the "Time to Relax " package which included dinner and breakfast. This was a bonus as we had already completed a long drive form Paris and were on route to Mont St Michael. Just wished we had stayed longer to relax more! Dinner was a three course delicious treat at LeTripot, a local restaurant in Avranches. The town is a walled city with its own interesting history. Great to explore is time allows.
If we are lucky enough to venture into the beautiful Normandy countryside again, we would definitely choose to stay at Le Ramade again. Thank you Veronique for a memorable start to our French driving holiday!

Room Tip: I'm sure all rooms are lovely.

We arrived after 12 but Veronique was still awake and showed us to our room
The hotel is perfectly located and handy for motorway links and attractions
Breakfast is served in the delightful conservatory and the 11 euros charge for the petit dejouner is adequate
The hotel does not serve dinner however there are a host of nearby restaurants in Avranches that will satisfy most pallets
I can recommend the hotel for a long weekend or an overnight stay on route to southern parts

On a short driving holiday this was the perfect 'base camp'. A lovely house with large rooms; ours had a massive comfortable bed with luxury pillows, fine fabrics everywhere, big windows and plenty of power points. Only the big black flat screen TV looked out of place. The en suite was a bit dated (a pink theme throughout) but functional, light and spacious.

There's a big car park, a large garden with outdoor seating for when the sun shines, free wifi, a cosy lounge and a well furnished conservatory for breakfast.

Veronique was helpful in recommending local restaurants and providing any extras (in our case a non-slip bath mat).

A perfect location, a fair price and charming French-paced service.

Note re travel in general: the roads are fantastic (although signing is all a bit last minute and the road numbers themselves seem to constantly change). The towns are all so clean: no roadside litter (on country roads you never see one discarded mattress or a fly tip of broken fridges and car tyres), usually free parking, no yellow lines and, in May, hardly any traffic - you could drive for miles on 'B' roads without following, or being followed, by another car - amazing experience for road-weary Brits. Mind you, if there's a law against driving and using a mobile you wouldn't know it!

If you're heading for this region then La Ramade is the place to stay.
