Description: Right at the heart of this intellectual and humid city is located “El Sesteo” a nice setting with a nice view and a unique decoration. The food is nice has a good variety of things, Local food, Mexican, Sea food (ocean is only 20min away) and international cuisine, Service is pretty good and all of the walls are decorated with the local dance, folklore and most important people of Leon one of them Ruben Dario Father of the modernism and prince of the Spanish language. They are open for lunch and dinner and probably have the best view of any restaurant in Leon, have a nice breeze that run through the place and a nice view to the street which you can see the locals walking around the main square.Go and enjoy this place and give a try to local own places.

“Central Park/Cathedral location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2013

Great little resturant in lovely location although when I was there the park was blocked off for renovation so access to the park was not possible. The food was tasy and the service was good depending when you is there. During the usual eatting hours servise was difficult but between the standard eatting hours everything goes very well. But I guess that is typical everywhere in the world.

“Gat location, good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Sitting overlooking the town square, it's probably the best located restaurant in Leon. Not great value, but not too overpriced, and served good Nicaraguan food. Recommended.

“Nice restaurant!!!”

The food is amazing, great service, is right next to the central park and cathedral, besides the great food that had there I really enjoyed the nice view of that park, seeing the people zipping around!!!

“Bad service”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013 via mobile

Well went to this restaurant end of december, great location, good view from the restaurant of an old church and plaza and good atmosphere but the staff was unprofessional and not accomidating nor help full. Their menu was unorganized and a few of the items were not available. My little sister wanted pasta (which they had) and shrimp (which they had in a seperate plate) together but the staff told us no. Didn't give us an alternate nor checked with the chef to see if they could help us out. At the end of this ordeal we ended up talking to the manager and charged us for two separate plates. Food was horrible and not except able for the pricing they had.. food didn't come out in a timely manner and correctly. Unproffesional staff with a nasty attitude. Such horrible service we didn't leave a tip and we will never come here again and will not reccomend this place for tourists!!.

“Quick lunch stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We found El Sesteo because we were looking for a place to dodge a torrential rain. It is a really cute place that is very tourist friendly. The menu is written in both Spanish and English and offers several typical N. American foods as well as Nicaraguan. We have heard it is well known for it's beer but we were there on election day so no drinks were served (which really disappointed the cruise tourists that were sharing the place with us). They serve a variety of fresh-fruit smoothies and the coffee is great. The seating is inside but they have 3 large garage doors that are open so it feels like exterior seating. The park across from El Sesto is under renovation and makes for a lousy view but diagonally and to the east you can see a couple beautiful cathedrals. The restaurant is decorated with painting and other art from local artists. I would suggest El Sesto as a nice place to take a break on a day of site-seeing or for lunch.
