“There are better well stocked restaurants in Munising.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

Breakfast & lunch were quite good. Supper was a different story. They were out of all the favorites like white fish & pasties! This is the UP. What was available was overpriced and took forever to get!

“Slow service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

I have been here many times in the past several years and unfortunately I have had consistently slow service regardless of how busy the retaurant is. The food is average. the prices have gone up dramatically and the food is not worth the money. Go elsewhere, there are better choices in town.

“Laid-back service, acceptable fare.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

Decent local place with a good menu and neat nautical-themed décor. Service is polite and friendly, but extremely laid-back and leisurely in pace. Don't expect meals to appear quickly, in other words. As far as food quality goes, the whitefish sandwich was fresh and very flavorful, flavorful enough to distract from the ordinary roll it was served on. My travelling partner had a huge Rueben that he said was very good, piled high with corned beef. Prices, as is usually the case in the UP, were rather high. (It costs money to transport ingredients to what is essentially a cul-de-sac on the food-service supply chain, I guess.) All in all, we didn't leave hungry and the place had a nice, casual vibe that was perfect for the slower pace of a vacation.

“Great Home fries for Breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

A nautical them dominates throughout; a fine collection of model boats, etc.in this combination restaurant and gift shop. Large portions, coffee too weak for our taste. Great potatoes--stick with the home fries, thinly sliced. Big omelettes, most of the standard fare. Fresh vegies, but a bit skimpy on the quantity of both these and the cheese. Unfair to comment, perhaps, on one visit, but we shared the same view.
