“Classy hotel in Vigan”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

The room where we stayed does not have a refrigerator. This is fine, if I did not pay 7000 pesos per night.

The location is perfect as it is just a block away from Calle Crisologo.

The complimentary breakfast is not much.

The wifi is not that strong too.

The receptionist and other staffs are friendly and helpful.

This was absolutely perfect for our stay in Vigan.

First, the location is unbeatable: just a few steps away from Calle Crisologo and the two plazas.

Second, the facade blends well into the historic Vigan skyline; just stepping into their warm, tiled entrance hall makes you feel like you've stepped into another, more gracious time and place.

Third, the interiors are lovely. Well-polished and charming, with that air of belonging to a welcoming relative, so you're never ill at ease. Our room was wonderful, with old-fashioned bath fixtures and high ceilings, but also all the modern amenities one might expect. And breakfast is served in a quaint little tea room.

Lastly, service is professional, but always warm and friendly. We appreciated all the little things: welcome drinks and towels, assistance with our luggage and calling trikes, information about the sights so readily provided, the unfailing courtesy.

Highly recommended for anyone searching for the quintessential Vigan experience.

This place makes you feel as if you were staying in an old mansion but with modern amenities. Our room is on the second floor and we had to go through a spacious sala. That one distracted us for several minutes. We rolled on the sofa and soaked in the opulence =)

When we finally remembered to go to our room, we were greeted with a spacious one. My friend and I really have a thing for space and the room is good enough for us. It may not be the most spacious one we had on this trip but the modern amenities and the very, very, very fast internet they have more than made up for it. They have the most comfortable bed and pillows and softest towels we had on this trip.

I can really appreciate the subtle things this hotel provides for you. They have a little booklet with Ilocano words that can get you by around the town proper and a little map enough to find your way back. When we got back from dinner and a brief exploration of the night scene of the place, we were greeted with candies with a little good night quote on them. It was very nice.

As for the location, I like the fact that it is not facing the main road and thus protected from all the car and tricycle noise of the street but it is also walking distance from Calle Crisologo.

The complimentary breakfast selection they have are quite good too. I especially like the sinanglao and their hot chocolate. Thinking and writing about them now makes my mouth water.

This place is worth every penny and I will definitely come and stay here again when I go back to Vigan.

Room Tip: Choose a room that is on an upper floor and not facing the street.

I loved how they captured the vigan charm- polished wood, big and spacious, homey- that makes one really think you're in an old house. Comfortable accomodations. The room amenities were modern, and the beds comfy. Location was excellent, so close to Calle Crisologo and other places of interest. They have off-site parking available. I just hope they would add a ref in every room which is important when travelling with kids, and more shelf space in the bathroom.

Room Tip: Choose second floor rooms

Service at Hotel Felicidad is topnotch! Got to Vigan very late and was looking for a hotel that allows guests with pets as we had our little dog with us. Check in was a breeze with the very helpful and friendly staff assisting us. The standard room that we got was very spacious and comfortable, complete with modern amenities while at the same time retaining the elegant, heritage theme of the hotel. And for such spacious and pretty rooms, their rates are quite affordable, too. It even comes with breakfast which though simple are quite good and filling. The location of this hotel is another plus, it's just around the corner from the famous Calle Crisologo and within walking distance from other Vigan attractions.

Although there was a little misunderstanding on where our dog will spend the night, the management was kind enough to allow our dog to stay with us in our room after my husband assured them that our dog had never caused any damage to our belongings even as a puppy. He also promised to compensate for any inconvenience or accidental damage that may be caused by our dog. Happily, our dog behaved as expected and did not so much as put his paws on the furniture inside the room, so there was no need to pay anything expect for the actual room charges.

But it is really the service that will keep us going back to this hotel. From the moment we parked our car to the time we checked out, the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff was very much apparent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to all my family and friends who plan to visit Vigan.

Stayed in this hotel during Holy Week 2013. I must say that this hotel impressively delivers on providing an authentic Ilocano hotel experience!

The location is right in the center. Felicidad is very near the Max's Restaurant on Calle Crisologo. We were walking to our destinations everyday.

The hotel is very new. Nonetheless, it kept the authentic Vigan design elements in the exterior and interior designs.

The hallways and rooms gave off a very homey atmosphere. Hardwood floors, Wrought iron highlights and wooden doors were a nice touch.

The rooms were very impressive. They were spacious to begin with, and also has high ceilings (for rooms on the upper floors). The beds were fantastic! Our room had four poster beds, nice tables and cabinets, and nice windows too.

The bathroom had wooden shelves and modern toilet fixtures, but in bronze color to keep the local touch. It is evident that the owners gave a lot of thought in the design.

The only thing about this hotel was the crowded breakfast area. I think they ran out of space and just squeezed in the breakfast area in a poor location.

Also the staff could use some training. Nonetheless, our service experience was not unforgivable.

All in all, I would still come back to Hotel Felicidad. There are other hotels in Vigan but this is definitely a contender with their great hotel deisgn and great sleep quality.

Had a wonderful stay in this restored mansion turned boutique hotel! Very tasteful decor and features nice paintings and sculptures which are just some of the owner's collections. The staff are well-trained, very polite and attentive. The rooms and the premises are very clean and it's nice to come back to a room with nice-spelling sheets and towels. The hotel is conveniently located around the corner from the main street and walking distance to Calle Crisologo and the plaza.
