“Polar Treks - Annapurna Base Camp Trekking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

The trip was organized by guide owned Polar Trekking and Expedition. Was the best experience ever, and certainly would recommend. For the guides, boys keep it up.

“Annappurna region trek with Alpine Explore Nepal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

A wonderful trek to Macchapuchhre base camp on the way to ABC, started with 3 of my other friends and the supported team from Alpine Explore Nepal. We started our trek from Kande and continue our walk towards Pothana. From the very first day of our trek we experienced nice clear views of the Mt. Fishtail, different ethnic groups culture and their way of living in a community. We have been up to Machhapuchhre base camp, have had a lifetime experience with an excelent team of Alpine Explore, without their support the trip would be not the same. We will definately travel to Nepal again and have another experience

“MBC ,Annapurna Trek”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

After five long days of trekking ,we reached MBC in the evening with the temperature in the low single digit (4deg.C). Our stay was arranged at the Fishtail Guest house & Restaurant. We were provided with clean rooms with clean linen and extra blankets for it was unusually cold for the season. In the middle of the night we were awoken by thunderous notices and on stepping out found that it was snowing and the thunderous noise was the snow sliding off the roof and on to the ground! For all of us it was joyous to frolic in the snow for we live in Chennai ,India where the three seasons are hot, hotter and hottest !
The restaurant served hot meals and their menu was extensive enough to suit all pallets .
The trek was organised by Getupandgo.in in India with Himalayan Holidays ,Kathmandu.
One important advice for people who visit this area is to be prepared for bad weather and snow. We had about one meter of snowfall in one night and it snowed all day and the next. We could not make it to the Annapurna base camp for lack of gear for snow !
The entire trek was organised impeccably and though quite arduous because of the weather and terrain, the guides and the Sherpas made it all possible . Itching to go back for more of Nepal.

“New Trekking route from Nepal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

Machhapuchhre Base Camp Trek : Machhapuchhre Model trek is the newly opened trekking area in Nepal, this fresh trekking trail offers you enchanting views of mountain ranges, rich vegetation along with the culture and lifestyle of the ethnic dwellers then this is just the perfect offer for you.
After half an hour drive by Jeep or Public bus from Pokhara, trekking can be started immediately crossing the Mardi River, if the trekkers want to get immediately close mammal. So the trekkers can experience the perfect natural sites.
The blending of rich cultural heritage of diverse ethnic groups like Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Damai, Kami, Sarki, Chetri, Newar, and Brahmins, etc with the eye catching views of snowcapped mountains like Mt. Mardi, Mt. Machhapuchre, and Annapurna Himalayan ranges from the close proximity. The opportunity to experience the combinations of rich flora & fauna, mountain forest, varied birds species, wild flowers, wild animals, and natural hot spring are supplementary attractions for visitors of all kinds.
The Mardi-river Valley in Rivan & Lahachok area is an appropriate place for swimming, fishing and watching migrant birds. A natural Cave formed by rock and limestone and Tea garden are the other attractions of the areas. It seems to be the most pleasurable resting place on the lap of Nature. It is here that one can enjoy perfect peace and silence; while resting one feels like meditating.

“Hard trek but worth it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

MBC is an amazing place to have lunch and take in the scenery before continuing on to Annapurna Base Camp. Great views across the valley and of Machapuchare (Fishtail Mountain) itself.
