“Amazing location, great for lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

Closes early, so go for lunch or an afternoon snack. The views from the outer balcony are great and the food is good and reasonably priced.

“Good views over the square but elevated prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

Quite how they got permission to convert this very old wooden building to a cafe i'm not sure but it's in a great position in the square at Bhaktapur. This makes it a good place to people-watch or gaze out at the temples from the several layers of balconies. As you might expect the price you pay for the location and character is much higher than in other restaurants around. An alternative is the Sunny guest house rooftop restaurant whose prices are lower and benefits from a sunnier position at most times of day.

“Former temple as cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Just good place to rest. Former temple, but now cafe and view to Nyatapola temple, highest in Nepal. Stay long, rest, eat and drink a glass of lovely Khukri rum, made only in Nepal.
