We stayed here for three days and three nights in late October and had an amazing stay! There is a lot of wildlife within walking distance of this hotel: White-breasted Waterhens run around the cabins, Ryukyu Crested Serpent-eagles cry from powerline poles, owls call just after dusk while you are sitting around the pool, and the end of Hwy 215 through the agricultural fields is a GREAT place to go birding if you are interested in that. We took a swim one afternoon. The beach is very pretty and offers a good view of the sunset, but it is a very lengthy swim out to the reef from this location; a better bet would be to go to the campground nearby, look for star sand, and then take a swim. Breakfast was ample and provided a good meal to start a day of sight-seeing. Dinner was sooooo good - our only complaint was that there was too much good food! Our room was very large and we appreciated the amount of space to store our souvenirs, cameras, and snorkeling equipment, especially after a very small room on Ishigaki. The buildings are a bit old, but they are clean, the A/C worked very well, and we were not wanting for anything. The staff worked very hard to ensure we had all we needed, and the restaurant staff amazed us with their helpful knowledge of English and translated the menus every evening. We would stay here again!
