Of the 3 NWR camps, this matches Namutoni for value, exceeds it for food and beverage quality but is a little more tired and worn out than Namutoni. Perhaps the current NWR property renewal focus is on Namutoni. However, as one reviewer has said, the smaller more intimate Hallali is more suitable to some than others, me included. But mostly, I appreciated the better quality of food that Hallali provided.
Without question, the only way to see the glorious Etosha National park is to stay inside the Park at the NWR camps. However, having scoured the inappropriately named Rhino drive for three plus hot, dusty hours, we were rewarded by the presence of a black rhino within minutes of returning to camp. Well done Hallali waterhole and a second reason for voting Hallali as the best NWR Etosha Camp
Not sure if any of the Hallali rooms have been refreshed in recent times
