“just another americanised italian”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

supposed to be the best restaurant in town, but for us rather dissapointing.
We went there several times, but still not a fan.
The food is just mediocre.. nothing special.
The pasta way overcooked.
the saus out of a can, not home-made.
Far away from real Italian food. (we have been to italy a dozen of times)
jus dissapointing.
We rather visit the neigbour : Nick and Nino's ! They definatly have the best pizza in town !!! The real italian crust ! We love it !

“Okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Poor service, food was pretty good. Not very customer friendly. Ordered a round of drinks and they were never brought. We were with a large group and food was brought out at different times so everyone was not eating together. Would queston whether to go again for any type of celebration with a group.

“We were very disappointed..”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

We were visiting Monroe after being away several years. Dolce Vita was recommended by some friends... The atmosphere and wait staff made dinner not horrible. The food was nasty. We sent the appetizer back, the Caesar salad dressing tasted like Italian dressing and there was so much the salad was in edible it had no croutons or grated cheese..dinner came barely room temperature. And was cold by the time we finished .. We won't return.. Had an excellent meal at Joes another night.

“On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate it a 5.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2012

The look and feel of the place inside and out are great. The food? Not so much. I got the trio lasagna, fettuccine, and chicken parm. Lukewarm. Cold by the time I was halfway through. Marinara sauce was slightly sweet and blah. Noodles in lasagna overcooked, borderline mushy. Chicken was very, very thin (almost laughable) w/no spices on it whatsoever. Flavorless. Friend of mine got penne noodles/chicken/mushroom sauce. She said all of it was dry. Not enough sauce and chicken was far from moist. Other friend got a steak which looked appealing and he was happy with it. There was several fruit flies buzzing around us the entire time we ate and I saw a girl in a booth across the restaurant from us repeatedly clapping her hands together trying to kill whatever was flying around her, assumed fruit flies. Gross. Smoke alarm in kitchen went off at least 5X within an hour. If you want sushi note that sushi isn't made from 2p-4p b/c the guys on break during that time. None of us were impressed with this place. I could definitely think of many other Italian restaurants to spend $80 at. We will not be back.
