“Older but nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2014

Property is old but clean and decent. Our first room was not cleaned but they quickly got us a clean one. Only real complaint is that the doors slam loudly. Breakfast was average but well maintained. Location is good if you are going to a UM event and Ann Arbor is booked or too expensive. For value I will stay here again but prefer to stay in Ann Arbor. For what it is, it is worth it.

A great place to stay for a short period of time, great staff, fantastic breakfast. The pool was crystal clean and very inviting. The staff was extremely helpful with issues that we had. The room was clean and comfortable. There were lots of pillows to relax on. The only issue we actually encountered was the Wi-Fi didn't work very well so we could not use our devices didn't work properly. Our room was next to the ice machine and an employee room, it was loud at times from the employees in the next room. I would recommend this place for a short stop over stay. There weren't many things that you could do in the area. It was a good place to stay for our short stay for appointments 20 minutes north to the U of M.

Room Tip: Third floor is a lot quieter than other floors. Ask for a room close to the elevator if you have hea...

For the second year in a row, we have stayed at the Sleep Inn in Milan, MI as we began our vacation. We stayed here again because last year it was a great place to stay and we enjoyed it very much. All the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful, the building etc. was clean and looked well taken care of, the room was clean, bed comfortable, bathroom was very nice and shower pressure was good. The morning breakfast has a good selection of eats.
We enjoyed our stay, our only complaint was for a Tuesday night the price was a bit high but it was well worth it. Only about 10 minutes south of Ann Arbor and well worth it. We'll stay again as we begin our vacation.

Room Tip: Rooms off the freeway side are much quieter

Very clean, great staff and good breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel. Located right off US23. Good selection for breakfast. Great indoor pool. Good internet service. We have stayed here a number and always find everything top notch.

Room Tip: Choose a room away from the expressway end of the hotel

My husband and I recently took out small children on a little trip. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted with a very friendly desk attendant. I'll start with some of the 'not so pleasant' parts of our stay. The room's design was a little different, including only having a stand up shower, and the doors were very light allowing my 16 month old son to attempt disappearing acts. The hotel was next to an expressway, leaving our room very loud. Now, for the many positives!
Our room was very clean, there was a refrigerator for our kids' drinks and treats, the hotel was clean and inviting, staff very helpful, and the breakfast was perfect. Well worth the very reasonably priced room.

For the last nine years we have called this motel our "home away from home" every summer when we visit our children and grandchildren. The motel is clean and comfortable. The owner and staff at this location make us feel like we are #1. We highly recommend to any family traveling in the Milan/Ann Arbor/Saline area: this is the place to stay.

We were on our way back home to Lansing and got stuck in a snow storm in the middle of the night. We pulled in about 1:30 or 2am and it was easy to get checked in and the rate was decent. We asked for a pack n play for our baby and it was broken so we had to go out in the snow to get ours. All told, we didn't stay all that long. We did get up for breakfast pretty early in the morning and my husband was disappointed that they were already out of waffle batter. Of course, that's a personal preference and the breakfast buffet was otherwise fine. They do have an indoor pool that was hosting a tween birthday party that was pretty loud first thing in the morning after a very late night of driving. Beware of potential noise if you're placed in a room near the pool. Otherwise, things were nice and clean and fine for sleeping and showering. Beds were a nice size but the pillows were curiously tiny. Not Smurf size, but definitely kid size. You might want to bring your own if you're staying more than one night.
