Lovely setting with lots of trails and benches just when you need one to sit and watch the river roll by. The area's history is very well done in the main building and their are naturalists there to answer any of your questions. The office staff is very helpful and very friendly and give you a lot of their time. You never get a brief, "don't bother me I am busy" kind of answer to any of your questions. On weekends the homestead and school house are usually open and staffed and you and your kids can get a lesson in the old one room, log school and walk down the lane to the homestead and see how people lived and how they worked and entertained themselves with no electronics!
The Nature Center offers Day Camp for the kids in the summer months and the price is very good and the instructors are great.
The Nature Center offers a nature nursery school. They offer a program during the fall and make Maple syrup that is for sale.
Really a gen for the Midland county area. Schools make good use of it and have many programs for the school age children.
