“Great spot!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

I didn't expect much for a place attached to a Holiday Inn (which in itself is surprisingly nice), but this is a very large and attractive sports bar with an abundance of flat screen TVs of varying sizes, surprisingly good food, and excellent service. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

“Nice to eat poolside”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

the food wasn't as good as last year, but we mostly always order the nachos and a pizza. both are large and sufficient. it's the ideal way to eat poolside at the adjoining holiday inn and Josie is our favorite waitress.

“Good food and nice selection...but beer TOO COLD”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

We like this place. Sports bar with nice atmosphere, and food is consistently good. They have a pretty decent beer selection, and this night they were featuring several draught beers from Atwater brewery (not my favorite). I thought I would try the double IPA thinking this might be OK. However, I was very disappointed. Then I realized that much of the reason this wasn't meeting my expectations because the beer glass was chilled....NO, NO, NO....don't serve craft beer in chilled glasses!!! The hops were very noticeable but none of the malty flavor (which should be prominent in a double IPA) was barely detectable. As the beer warmed up, more of the maltiness showed up. Big E's management: if you see this, STOP this practice! Or, at least ask patrons if they want a chilled glass. I know next time I will ask for a room temp glass!

Russ K,
Thank you for choosing to dine with us at Big E's and for providing us feedback about your time spent with us. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience that the chilled glass caused you during your meal. We only chill about 80% of our glasses at Big E's. If you request a room temperature glass we would gladly pour your beer in one. We will be sure to ask patrons which type of glass they would prefer in the future. Again, thank you for the feedback and have a great day.

“Not bad for watching a game; food is lacking”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2013

Decent beer selection; average to sub-average food compared to most sports bars. Good amount of TVs to tune into pretty much any game or event
