While driving through the historic district of Menominee which is right along the Green Bay waterfront, we found the Serving Spoon and decided to stop for a breakfast. The cafe is in the lower level of an old house which has been fully renovated into a charming, cozy eatery with a wonderful view through the big windows. It was a little chilly or we might have dined on the front porch with a view of the harbor. The waitress was helpful and very accommodating. She served us our coffees right away and made it easy for us to share a scone and the omelet entree by serving it on two plates. My husband enjoyed reading the local newspaper while I connected to their Wi-Fi as we waited for our food - a brief time! We learned that the owner supports the local arts (has a studio upstairs and sells artworks in the cafe) and caters for a local retirement facility. She is one busy and enterprising gal who knows how to run a great breakfast cafe.
