I took my son and his friend (24 years old) to visit my daughter at Northern Michigan University. We wanted to have a late breakfast and she recommeded Jeffrey's. The place isn't fancy, but comfortable and clean. I saw my favorite breakfast, biscuts & gravy, on the menu, but the eggs benedict looked interesting. In addition to the classic version, they have a southwestern version, with chipotle holendaise sauce and chorizo instead of Canadian bacon. It sounded so good I had to try it, and I'm glad I did. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The 2 poached eggs were perfectly done. The sauce appeared to be their standard holendaise with chipotle powder. It had a great balance, especially mixed with the hash browns. The chorizo really made it, providing a nice kick without being over powering, Lots of food, very well prepared, and very reasonably priced.
My vegetarian daughter had the border omelette, which she said was what she had the first time she was there and has never tried anything else because it's so good. While I joked about that when she said it before we got our food, I told her afterwords if her food was as good as mine, I can't blame her. They serve breakfast all day long and I'd have a hard time passing this up no matter what time of day.
My son and his friend had more typical pancakes/eggs/potatoes/bacon dishes (the belly buster and Jeffrey's special) but it must have been good as they pretty much inhaled them.
While I can't comment on lunch and dinner items, I can say this is the place to go for breakfast (at any time of day) in Marquette
