“Amazing experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

We were treated very well in the candy shop and in the restaurant. We started downstairs in the candy shop. We ordered a fun bag of chocolate and some gummies (red/white/blue and soldiers for our soldier. We then ordered 6 sandwiches to go. There are a lot of choices but this suited the needs of our group. Mac n cheese is great. Flatbread sandwiches are wonderful also. They offer a punch card. They also gave us two small bowls of soup to try as we waited. Such a great place!

“Tasty.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2014

We stopped in here for lunch and ordered 9 sandwiches to go. DO grab a menu and read the descriptions however, as many of them have proper names up on the big board which give no clue as to what is on them. The service was fairly quick considering the size of our order. The sandwich tasted excellent and the chips that came with it were OK.

“Love the Candy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

While sitting in the Ore Dock Brewery, a patron suggested this place and we followed up on it. The young lady who waited on me was a bit grumpy but the chocolate covered espresso beans and sea salt caramels I purchased were great! At $10.50 a lb it is on the pricey side but the occasional indulgence was worth it.

“Excellence all around”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

By far our favorite place for breakfast. Pancakes, omelets, hash and any egg dish is going to be top notch. You will not find a more friendly and attentive staff. Love the atmosphere, restaurant is above the ice cream and candy store. If you are in the mood for a great meal than this is the place for you.

“Delicious sandwiches and tempting sweets!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

What a gem we found in Donckers! We came to Marquette not knowing where to go and were directed to Donckers as a "must-do" for a traditional ice cream parlor, soda fountain, sweet shop and even restaurant. We stopped for sandwiches. The burger my niece ordered was deemed the "best burger" she'd ever had. I had the Moss Monster...a flat bread sandwich with portabella mushrooms, feta cheese, black olives, sautéed onions, spinach. I took one bite and I was in heaven. Definitely a "must-do"!!!
