The Landmark Inn is our favorite spot to relax in the UP! Each room is unique and extremely clean. The staff is friendly, the food outstanding, and the location offers walkable access to the lake as well as downtown. Enjoy the charm of a beautifully restored historic hotel!

My husband and I stayed here during a July the 4th getaway. It is a thoroughly enjoyable hotel. We have dined in two of the restaurants and the meals were good. They offer hotel guests a 10% discount. The hotel staff is quite accommodating. There is a reciprocal agreement with the fitness center at the college, which is a good perk. The rooms vary in size, but each of the times we have stayed here we have been comfortable. None of the rooms has ever had a frig or microwave, which would be handy, but they do have room coffee makers. The best advantage to staying here, is you can walk to everything that downtown Marquette offers...dining, breweries, shopping, etc. And it is very close to the waterfront area. A great spot in Marquette!!

This hotel is awesome. We read about it on "trip advisor" and due to good reviews decided to go and check it out ourselves. Beautiful in every way!! Staff very nice and professional. Cute and charming. Cute decorations in the adorable room. Comfortable bed. There is this little
"lounge" on the 6th floor where you can get drinks and order food from EITHER the formal dining room or the first floor bar. I had the salmon salad and my husband ordered a pizza and both were fabulous!! The hotel is near a path down to the lake. I want to go back again...!!!

The Landmark Inn is a fabulous little boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Marquette. You can walk just about anywhere including easy access to the lake. The rooms are a bit small but they are quaint and charming and well-appointed. The bathrooms are updated and large with great showers. The staff was delightful and friendly and catered to your every need. I stopped by the restaurant early in the morning to grab some coffee. When I went to pay, the young woman at the desk smiled and said "The coffee is free for guests" Nice touch! Although the hotel appeared to be full, the room was extremely quiet and private. A large ample free parking lot made zipping into the hotel a breeze at all hours. Overall, I would rank this one of the nicer historic hotels I've visited including similar properties in New York, Chicago, and Washington DC. I recommend it to even the most discerning traveler.

Room Tip: Rooms are themed. Room 203 has a north coast woodsy feel with fur pelts on the wall and furniture ma...

We have just returned from a holiday (July 3-7) stay at the historic Landmark Inn. It is the most unique and interesting accomodation available in Marquette, MI and is one of only two options in the downtown area (the others are located along the highways). The front desk staff were professionally dressed and very pleasant and efficient. We were unable to stay in a room overlooking the Lake as the hotel was full due to the holiday and an in-house wedding but our room was very adequate in size and featured three large windows with two views. Housekeeping was thorough and our only complaint about the accomodations was the mattress which was quite soft and tired. We hosted a family dinner for 12 in the Sky Room on the sixth floor which was very well-managed but apparently dining in this room (overlooking the lake) with options from the main dining room (Capers) may not usually be available and it was during our stay due to the wedding reception in the dining room. All of the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not particularly suited to young children.

The Landmark Inn, is the only place to stay in Marquette.
The rooms are spacious, charming and quiet. No kiddies running around.
We dined at the Landmark several times during our stay and both times the whitefish, in particular, was fantastic. Great service and staff. Fantastic views and drinks in the North Star lounge.
We were fortunate to catch a band, the Bearcats, a lovely sounding trio of ladies.

We will certainly return.

We just spent 2 days at the Landmark Hotel while attending a Great Lakes Mayors conference. Our stay was quite enjoyable with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Dining at Capers was also nice with a good assortment of menu items and a extremely peasant staff. Front desk and Pub staff were attentive and helpful.

Marquette has many things to offer visitors and the Landmark Hotel is certainly high on that list.
