We arrived on a rainy afternoon in October and the attendant at the desk was very accommodating. She gave us a jacuzzi room for a good rate and it was bigger than most rooms we encounter in the UP. It is on the second floor front which I figured would give us a look at the shoreline/lake front. That didn't happen... too many trees. The mattress was a bit thin and hard but the Jacuzzi tub was wonderful. The desk then gave us recommendations for dinner. Nothing close offering wine with dinner but the drive to "Three Mile Supper Club" was worth it. The place is in need of some serious updating but perfectly adequate.

Room Tip: The other Jacuzzi room is in the back and may be quieter since it is off the road.

We stayed here when passing through the Upper Peninsula this October. The hotel is not updated, but that is the standard in the UP. It was an excellent location. Right off Route 2 and across the street from the lake. Plenty of parking. Great lobby area. They had a breakfast room and also living room/lounge setup. Our room was great. Very large. We had a king bed, desk, and a couch. It was very clean. Water pressure in the shower was great. No flat screen TV's, but a good variety and channels and wireless internet. We payed $79 for the room (which I'm sure that changes with the season). We felt that we got a good deal for our money and would definitely stay here again

Although we thought the price was too high, we enjoyed the big room. It was very comfortable, & quiet. They only charged us $10 extra for the pet fee, which was less than the posted fee. We liked the location across the street from the bike path along the shore of Lake MI. Breakfast was the standard fare, nothing extra. The hotel is clean & looks modern, but they were stingy with the towels!

During a spontaneous "road trip" through Wisconsin and Michigan we stayed here for one night. I was concerned as we pulled into the parking lot because there weren't any other cars and all of the other motels seemed to be busy. I asked to see a room and was shown a large King room near the desk. (I was in hotel management for over ten years and I can inspect a room very thoroughly and quickly.) I was surprised by the cleanliness of the room and the reasonable rate.

When we asked why they weren't as busy as the other nearby motels the clerk told us it was because they don't have a pool or spa. This was great for us, it meant less noise and we were able to park my husband's highly regarded "baby" right outside the front door, which mad him feel better. Besides being very clean and quiet, the room was quite comfortable with a small desk and chair, a small sofa and coffee table and a comfortable bed with both firm and soft pillows.

The bathroom amenities could have been better; body soap, face soap and shampoo, but for the price I really did not expect much more. The continental breakfast was convenient with excellent coffee.

We stayed in a king room, which was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is on the west side of the highway and the broad walk is very accessible for an early morning walk along the lake. We paid $90 for the room.

We went for a weekend ride with no plans or reservations which can be dangerous in the U.P. of Michigan in the summer. It was getting late and the first several motels were full and then we found this place with rooms available. It is a clean and quiet motel on US 2 across the road from lake Michigan. The staff were nice and accommodating. I would stay there again no problem!

The receptionist was outstanding and very accommodating. The double room was large but needed serious upgrading. The bedspreads were the type I immediately remove and place on the floor. The blanket on my bed had a small cigarette burn and the mattress was of the older , much too "springy " type. The television was vintage. On the positive side, the room was spotless . Breakfast choices were limited. I paid $88 for the night which was far too much for a clean but unexceptional experience.
