“Get the pot roast sandwich, yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We arrived after 2 pm to a very busy restaurant. The table beside us had waited a long time but we got our meal in less than 30 minutes. My husband and I split a starter salad and the pot roast sandwich and fries and we were stuffed. Everything seemed reasonably priced and the portions were large. The place was clean and the staff was great.

“Lunch at the tavern”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We had a lovely lunch at the Yankee Rebel Tavern. The food was really good and we had a table by the window so we could see the horse & carriages that would go by all the time. We loved the food and drinks.

“Pleasantly surprised, good quality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Having walked around the island and seeing this restaurant fairly empty at 11 a.m., we went in to catch a bite. Immediately we all saw appealing items on the menu and ordered. My 13 year old got the tuna salad sandwich and said it was delicious, and she can be picky. I got the roasted artichoke sandwich and found it very good. It came with sweet potato fries, baked and seasoned to perfection, and I am pretty sure they weren't the frozen kind. We had 2 orders of potato leek soup and they were thoroughly enjoyed along with the half sandwiches. Overall, this place was a bright spot there. By the time we left, the place had filled up. You get good portions and the prices are reasonable.

“Great Filet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

My wife had a Michigan Salad and I had a great Filet that was perfectly prepared and had a very fine accent sauce. Definitely can recommend the Steak.

“Delicious food in a reaxed setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Get off the busy main street on the island and enjoy dinner in a quieter atmosphere with a bit of historical backstory. The lobster ravioli and salmon that we ordered were tasty and attractively presented. Both meals came with perfectly prepared seasonal veggies and hot, fresh bread. The wait staff was attentive. Prices compare with other restaurants on the island.
