“What a Treat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

So many fudge shops, but I preferred this one. You can watch them make the fudge and be served a warm, gooey sample. Creamy and delicious!

“Murdick's is the best fudge by far!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

We stopped in just before closing and watched as they were making fresh fudge on the big marble slaps. The nicest guy gave us a wonderful slap of fudge for our family a seven to try and it was insanely delicious! We sample a lot of fudge over the years and this fudge is like the old fashioned fudge my grandmother used to make! Try the new double chocolate caramel sea salt fudge! A woman with PMS's dream craving! The staff here at Murdick's was super kind, patient and so happy after a long day! We are now lifetime Murdick's Fudge Fans!!

“Yummy Fudge!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

When you're on Mackinac Island, you need to get fudge. No question about it. We heard a lot of good things about Murdick's, so we decided to get our fudge there. Murdick's has many different stores on Mackinac Island as well as St. Ignace. We stopped at one on Mackinac Island. The shop is small and a bit cramped. There are many, many different flavors of fudge in the store, including peanut butter, pecan, walnut, mint, and more. We settled on Traverse City Black Cherry. It is delicious! The workers got our fudge quickly and efficiently, but weren't very friendly. Once you get your fudge (or before), you can watch the fudgemakers actually make the fudge right in front of you! Overall, this is a great place to stop to pick up some Mackinac Island fudge.

“Fudge so good you thought you sold your soul to the Devil!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

Wow. Mackinac is filled with fudge shops that claim to be Number 1, or best in the world, or voted best according to XXXXX magazine or newspaper. Murdick's though, is the penultimate fudge maker on the island. The shop is small and was even hotter inside that the hades heat outside but the upside is you can literally watch them make the fudge in front of your eyes. All of the workers seemed to be from Warsaw Pact nations over in America on work visas but seemed friendly enough. I took advantage of the buy 4 slices get one free offer and my fudge was neatly wrapped and placed inside a colorful Murdick's fudge box. The cost, at $28 was reasonable, because when I first placed a delectable bit of it in my mouth I prayed to Jesus because I surely thought I had somehow sold my soul to the Devil without knowing it.

This melt int your mouth, smooth, pure fudge is the sweet nectar of the gods. It is ambrosia. If you're reading this review, you're probably planning a trip to Mackinac. Ignore all other fudge factories and be sure to buy your fudge at Murdick's. Don't worry, I went to church and the pastor told me there's no way my eternal soul was compromised.

“Fudge was great. Staff not so.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

Fudge is terrific. Shop is quaint. Staff were a bit stand offish. The young lady who put my order together didn't understand me so the order was a bit wrong. If she had only admitted she couldn't read English nor did she completely understand me. She was also conversing with other staff while attending to my order.
