“Family Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

We stayed here May 3rd en route to a family holiday in Devon. We were really impressed with the lovely standard of the hotel and cleanliness is unusually high. Our request of 2 interconnecting rooms was granted and the sofa beds were all made up with immaculate linen.
On the site there is a McDonalds, An Indian and a Harvester. We ate at the Harvester which was really good. The hotel staff were very helpful and there was a lovely atmosphere here. The complimentary breakfast was particularly good for us having 4 children. Excellent stay and would definately stay here again, Indeed we wished we had booked it on our return journey and not the Holiday Inn Birmingham South A45 which was just awful.

Stayed hear humorous times now along with having meetings and using the meeting facilities, quality and value is what this place offers and it is well in the bracket for this band of hotels. The on sited dining menu is a bit basic but food is not their bag, but do not be tempted by the dump of a Harvester across the car park.
All I can say is you would be better off getting a 99p value meal from the McDonalds adjacent.

This hotel is ideal overnight point when journeying from North to the South West. We always use it and have always been well satisfied with our room, service and complimentary breakfast. Great price too.

This hotel was used for a retreat after a nearby wedding. Just what we needed, good decent nights sleep after consuming enough alcohol to knock out an elephant.

Breakfast was hot, fresh and tasty and the place in general was clean. the bathroom was a tad 80's with it's blue tiles which looked as though they'd been fitted by someone with one eye and there was a smidging of mould around the bath sealant but it wasn't a holiday hotel just a 'saves 90 quid in a taxi home' hotel with a super hangover breakfast. Perfect for people going to nearby venues and needing to stay the night.

We booked two rooms here to attend a family birthday event in Droitwich. We were able to book early and take advantage of an advance purchase rate with breakfast. The hotel was extremely easy to find just off the M5 and not far from Droitwich itself. Ample car parking was available. There was no queue at reception where we were met by a friendly receptionist and check-in was completed in just a few minutes and we were on our way to the rooms. The rooms themselves were very bright and larger than I expected for a Holiday Inn Express. More importantly extremely clean. Very comfortable bed and a very clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good and again the check-out was very efficient. Clearly the management are well organised here and should be commended on how pleasant the staff are and particularly the cleanliness of the hotel. Like other reviews despite the hotels location close to the M5 we could not hear any traffic noise at all and had a good nights sleep. We travel to Droitwich to see family on a regular basis and will be booking in here again from now on.

We booked here as we were attending a family party in Droitwich and it was absolutely perfect.

We got a great deal online (£35 including breakfast), despite it being Easter weekend so were delighted with the value it offered.

The hotel is what you might call 'well-placed for the M5' - it's right beside it - but as my review title advises, don't be put off. We were amazed that there was no noise whatsoever from the bedroom we were allocated (overlooking the M5). There is a double-glazed window unit, plus secondary glazing and it cuts out all noise.

The bedroom was well furnished with everything you might need. My only criticism is that the dressing table is facing a blank wall (no mirror!). There is a full-length mirror to one side, but us ladies do like to sit down to do hair, face etc. An electric socket and mirror over the dressing table would be great. The bed was comfortable, with a choice of pillows (firm or soft) and a good duvet. Bedside tables, lamps, telephone completed the picture. Our room also sported a sofabed. Good sized TV with Freeview.

The bathroom was actually a shower room, cleverly-designed with a large shower cubicle, washbasin, loo and plenty of towels. Pump dispenser toiletries were a nice touch.

We enjoyed a good breakfast the next morning - scrambled egg, sausages and baked beans were all that was on offer, but together with the good range of bread and pastries, it made for a good start to the day.

We would not hesitate to use a Holiday Inn Express in future - it was excellent and we'd recommend it.

Stayed here for two nights while in the area on business. The hotel is what you would expect from Holiday Inn Express, comfortable basic rooms, clean and bright reception and basic bar and dining available. Free wifi in the rooms would be nice and is the only issue that would make me consider staying somewhere else when I'm in the area next time. All in all a good place to stop.
