“Fabulous hospitality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2007

We had a fabulous four-night stay recently at the Lamplighter Bed and Breakfast. The hosts, Bill and Jane, accommodated our every need and the rooms were wonderful. Bill even offered a ride on his sail boat! Breakfast was fantastic and Jane's recipe for Baked Michigan Oatmeal is one we've made at home a number of times since. Good company, good conversation and a homey atmosphere. Would definitely go there again!!

WOW -- I was somewhat reluctant to try a Bed and Breakfast, but the Lamplighter was referred to me by a friend and all I can say is WOW. From the beginning of the stay, Jane and Bill were the most gracious host -- warm, friendly, very accommodating, but not to the point of infringing on our privacy. As for choosing a room, all of the options were so elegant it was hard. Needless to say, we will be returning to experience a different rooms ambience and see if we can develop a favorite. Also, I would be remises if I did not mention the outstanding breakfast provided. It was without question a super experience from beginning to end. I strongly recommend the Lamplighter for a very enjoyable get-away.

Me and my wife recently returned from another wonderful weekend at the LampLighter. Our stays at this lovely B&B started when we were one of Jane and Bill's first guest as the new owners. Each visit since has been nothing but outstanding!!! We have stayed in all five rooms and will admit that our first, "The Fireplace Room" is still our favorite. Jane and Bill are truly what make this place so enjoyable. Their warmth and caring for their customers is outstanding. You can tell without a doubt, they enjoy what they are doing. As for the breakfast part of the B&B, I could go on forever. The food is nothing less than outstanding and the presentation by the head waiter "Bill" is first class. Thanks to Jane and Bill, we have a very special place to visit and strongly recommend others give them a try -- you won't be disappointed.

We just returned from a wonderful time spent at the Lamplighter in Ludington, MI. We were treated with the warmest hospitality and the breakfasts were to die for. The ambience was perfect ... the rooms quaint, charming and spotless. We will definitely stay at this lovely B&B the next time we are in town.

We stayed at the Lamplighter on the evening of 6-9-06 after finding it through AAA. The hosts Jane & Bill Carpenter were terrific. They made dinner arrangements prior to our arrival at a lovely restaurant--P.G. Steamers. Their gourmet breakfast the next day was wonderful and the room was spotless. We would definitly go back there.
