We stayed at this hotel 10 years ago when our son went to U. Mich. It was a beautiful facility. We stopped here overnight and were surprised that nothing had changed in 10 years. Same furniture with the addition of chips and scratches, same old TV's, same carpeting, wallpaper, etc. Did notice that they were lacking in housekeeping in the common areas, stains and in need of vacuum and shampooing or just new carpeting. The pond/stream was not real clean and had bubbles in it, I would assume most of the fish had died from lack of care, there were a few small ones left. The breakfast did not have as many offerings as it used to, seemed to be cutting corners wherever they could. The luggage carts were few and being used by hotel dining staff so had to chase one down and ask to use it. The wheels on the cart were in need of air or replacing, very difficult to roll it about, as well as not looking like it was ever wiped down considering all the hands that are pulling and pushing it around. Overall very disappointed and would not stay there again. They really need to put some money into updating their facility.

We picked this hotel because of the room style set up and we had our two children with us. The separate living area worked out great for our situation but everything else left much to be desired. The room was dated, wallpaper peeling off the walls, box TVs, uncomfortable beds, no vent exhaust in the bathroom, etc. Had I known ahead of time that if you were getting to beds they would both be full sized we would never had booked here, as my husband is not a small guy and I don't think I slept soundly since being here. Also the air vents for the room are in the living area so the sleeping area does not stay cool. The pool area was gross. Towels thrown everywhere, water dripping from the ceiling and there were so many chemicals in the pool that you couldn't see the bottom in 3 ft of water. To top all this off we came on a weekend and there was a softball tournament going on, so there were kids running around being very loud till late at night. The staff here is very friendly and nice and there is also a free breakfast in the morning, get there early or it is gone.

Outstanding staff, really care and try their best to please. Rooms are nice but I got one with a bad TV in the sitting area. The evening gathering is great the bartender comes up with a new drink every night.
