Do not stay here if you are booking with a sports team. Even travelling alone with my family I would not stay here again. Could not get straight answers for anything. Ask one person, get one answer, ask another, get a different answer. Really?? Booked the rooms for our hockey team 2 weeks ahead as we had been transferred from a Pittsburgh tournament to Detroit tournament at last minute due to our division folding. My first question to my contact person, Tammy, was if our rooms would be able to be all together. I asked this more than once and was assured each time that they do their best to get our team as close together as possible. LOL. Asked again when I checked in (as I was the first to arrive from our team) if our rooms were together. I was told (by the woman at the front desk with absolutely zero personality), "Yes". Everyone from the team proceeded to check in and we were on 4 different floors. Absolutely not one team member was beside another one, not one. There were at least 3 other hockey teams there at the same time, and they were also broken up on 4 or 5 different floors. There was no reason why on my floor 4, the rest of the team couldn't have been there. We had 16 rooms and there are many, many rooms on each floor. It could have been worked out, but they didn't bother, they put other hockey teams on each floor instead of putting each team together. When travelling as a team, this is important for the kids and also the adults. If it is their policy not to do this because they think we will congregate in the hallways they should be honest from the beginning and tell us that they do not put teams together ---- not continually LIE to people. We have been told by other hotels that this is their policy so we have moved on and booked something else which is what I would have done here if I had not been continually LIED to. Front desk personnel on checking in were not friendly or welcoming. Certainly a big ZERO in the customer service area. We had a hospitality room booked for Saturday night - I asked on Saturday which room it was and was told the Michigan Room. So, went and cheked out the Michigan Room. Asked again on Saturday what room it was and was told a different room name, which is what we had. Can't anyone there answer a simple, simple question? Asked for a mini fridge for our room upon check in - was told they do not have any available. Asked someone else a few hours later for a mini fridge and was provided one. I don't understand this!! People get your act together and stop lying to people!! Certainly not good for customer service!!! Will NEVER stay here again or recommend to anyone! I did a lot of work planning this tournament and hotel stay only to find out that I was lied to throughout the entire process by my contact at the hotel. Many many other hotels in the area at a MUCH better rate. This one was not worth the extra money AT ALL!! A little personality, honesty and straigh forwardness would go a LONG way to improve this hotel!! Don't treat people like they are clueless.

Please know it is NOT our policy to separate teammates, in fact we try very hard to place them together. Many of us are sports parents and we understand personally the value of being together as a team. Because your fellow teammates requested specific room types (Doubles, Kings with Sleeper Sofa's, or connecting rooms), and based on the varying arrival times and room availability, it is very difficult to place you all on one floor. Thus why in many cases you were told we would do our best, but in this case our best was not acceptable, and for that we are truly sorry. We greatly value your thoughts and opinions and hope you will accept our sincere apologies.
