“Doesn't get any better than this!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

There is never a disappointing dish served here. The care and quality of the food they make is outstanding. The quaint atmosphere is so fun to experience too.

“A Wonderful Breakfast and Lunch Spot in Lake Leelanau”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

The Redheads Cafe & Tasting Room is one of those comfortable, rustic, idiosyncratic up north spots that seem so plentiful in Leelanau County. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch that evidences an ethic for healthy food but with a fulsome flavor that is as welcome as it is unexpected (at least to this dubious meat eating carnivore) in a restaurant where most of the dishes present house made tofu as a main ingredient. But as I found out, even if tofu is not your thing the balance of the menu offers a number of terrific, healthy entries.

On a recent Sunday morning my wife and I had the "Sassy Scram" and the "Bridge Bagel." Both were outstanding. The Sassy Scram was scrambled eggs with two kinds of cheeses, spinach and other vegetables served with 7 grain toast. The Bridge Bagel was a large toasted bagel (one of the best I've had, by the way, since I moved to Leelanau County from New York CIty two years ago) topped with a fried egg, provolone cheese, spinach and lots of other good things, all with a special sauce that is called the "Bridge Sauce." The Bridge Sauce is, indeed, something special. What an explosion of flavors! Oh, and the Bridge Bagel came with potatoes too!

If you are in the area stop by and give it a try. It's a great little place. You can also see local art exhibited on the walls! By the way, it's very kid friendly. Also, you may get to meet the Redheads themselves! Very nice people indeed.
