We had a very good one night stay while traveling to Canada. Arrived early evening on a Wed and we're greeted very warmly by the front desk. Checkin was prompt and courteous. We had a very nice room, very comfortable. Inquired about places for an evening meal and were given a couple of different areas, one being nearby chain restaurants or a number of selections in their downtown area. We opted for the downtown which is about 15 min drive from hotel and were definitely not disappointed. There is a lot of selection within short walking from downtown parking. We ate at an Irish pub, very close to parking, good food, great service. Their downtown area is very nice, lots of shops, restaurants, and seems to be a very bright spot to this community. Had breakfast at hotel the next morning, very good buffet with extras and pricing was reasonable. Stay was very good experience and would definitely recommend to anyone. Would like to have more time to explore the downtown next visit.

We spent one night in Kalamazoo, MI after arriving by train from Nevada. We were tired after the long journey cross country, and it was after 10 p.m. by the time we arrived at the hotel. Check in was easy, staff was pleasant and welcoming. The room was basic, but nice and clean. Just what we needed at a decent price.
The parking was free, but unfortunately they do not offer any sort of free breakfast which would have been nice. But there are places to eat nearby. We left in the morning so we didn't have much opportunity to explore the area. It was a nice hotel, good room, and even though our time there was brief, it was enough for me to recommend this hotel to others who are staying in the area.

We came in for parent’s weekend at Kalamazoo College and chose to stay here rather than a hotel within walking distance of the college. Mostly because Four Points had a better rate and some of the reviews at the closer hotels weren’t that good. This was our first time here and the staff was very courteous and friendly. The hotel and the room was clean, the beds very comfortable and we loved the big fluffy pillows. They have soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower which I think is a great idea. It’s a very “green” thing to do since most of the little bottles you get in other hotels go to waste. As far as the noise, I travel a lot for business and the noise level in this hotel was no different than most hotels including some 4 star hotels. If you want complete quiet, buy a set of ear plugs. We had room service one of the nights and they were very quick and the food was good. We also had breakfast in the restaurant downstairs and it was OK. I thought it was a bit over priced but not outrageous. The one thing I wished the front desk would have told us when we checked in was that if we chose to have housekeeping skip cleaning our room we would get a daily credit. I don’t remember the exact details but I do remember thinking I would have done it. All in all a very nice place and we will definitely stay here the next time we are in town.

Stayed here on a one-night, late arrival, early departure business trip, and have no problem recommending the property to other travelers to this area.

I was greeted very nicely and professionally, checked in with no issues. The room was fine. No issues for me other than the lack of an electrical outlet easily accessible from the nightstands. The bathroom was fine too.

The only negative surprise for me was the breakfast buffet. Very few staff around, which made me think (due to prior experience at this type of hotel) that it was a free buffet. I was wrong. No issues with paying, but the quality was pretty middling and I would have liked to have known more obviously it wasn't a freebie (had I known I would have definitely ordered off a menu).

Aside from that caveat, this is a fine hotel for this location.
