OK, so the beer. I had a Tornado (IPA) which was nice - super hoppy and a touch sweet, as it's supposed to be. The red ale was fine, though not remarkable.
The food here was decent, but ultimately a little disappointing. They no longer have the walleye, thought it's on the menu. I ended up with the pepper & garlic encrusted sirloin, which was good for about half of it, then was a struggle against fat and gristle. Now, I couldn't see the non-meat parts because of the layer of delicious char, but surely someone in the kitchen saw this weak cut of meat before rolling it. So I left sated, but a little disappointed. Had mashed potatoes that were fine but not a standout and a simple green salad (a touch heavy on the dressing).
