“Thank you for a great day!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2014

We had not been to Pine Mountain in about 20 years, we had been hearing nice reviews and decided to give it a shot. Our kids are 10 and 7 and we had a blast. We ski a lot in the midwest but were very pleased with the grooming, pricing and had a great day! Our son loved the age appropriate terrain park (for him) and skied much of the day on the same run. We can't wait to go back again!

“I really enjoyed skiing here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

Beautiful hill with a good variety of runs. Not difficult by any means. The conditions were excellent and even though there were many people there on a Saturday, it never seemed crowded. The lifts are very old and uncomfortable, parking area is way too small, and the wait at the ticket counter was quite long.

“Skiing with the family!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2014

Our first trip to Pine Mountain,,, it is laid-back and nice for a family!!
Although we did find a couple of us needed rentals, they have very old equipment ,really just out dated, as far as the resort it could use some TLC,, the room rentals looked nice but we didn't stay there!!!
(The bar seemed to have a lot of locals that were not there to ski)

“Completely disorganized”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

My mom rented one of the rooms last year for my bridal shower. They lost the entire rental, tried to blame her for it, then gave her a discounted condo and the deck when it was 95 degrees outside. They were rude to my bridesmaids that contacted them as well. The rooms were gross and smelled funky. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone for an event.

“My grandfather was one of the movers behind this getting built...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Pine Mountain is many things...home to a lovely golf course...Timberstone...a nationally ranked 18 hole par 72 course...skiing, of course on 'Pine Mountain'...been active since the 40's I think...I used to ski there during the 50's/60's so been around long time...from the old rope tow days to modern day chair lifts...but, it is also home to, when it was built, the largest 'artificially created ski jump' in the world...back in those days...construction was 1937>1938, first tournament 1939, with a winning jump of 256'...fast forward to present day and the jumpers now achieve up to the current record of 471', due to various improvements made to the tower and outrun over the years...the very well known international ski jumping tournament is always held the last half of February and attracts crowds of up to 20,000...

the view from the top is stunning and, on a clear day you can see forever...well you can see for 30+ miles...almost forever...

recently there has been a WWII Memorial put in place at the top of the jumping area and new steps have been added going down the entire length of the jumping hill...

in 2011 they had a campaign to put in new concrete steps to replace the rotting older wooden ones...and they increased the steps to 500...each with a plaque with the sponsors name./dedication etc on them...of course these steps quickly became an area attraction in and off themselves and, a major venue for exercisers who, ah, like to climb...

go...

view all there is there to see...

enjoy...

aloha
