“230 steps and an amazing view!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

This was a great place to bike to and walk up. It is exactly 230 steps and was such a fun adventure for my family to go up. The view is amazing! Nothing is up there but the view, but it was still worth it.

“Good exercise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

great exercise climbing all 239 steps. The steps are spaced well though. There's 8 steps then a landing and then more steps. the view once you get to the top is nice.

“Must do in Holland!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Mount Pisgah was a great experience, and something I will always do in Holland. It was a nice discovery, a long path leads to lots and lots of stairs up to the top of a very tall sand dune. It is very tiring and I advice people who aren't in shape not to do this, because there are many trails and stairs that take you many places. The view at the top is priceless- even though it doesn't cost anything to go up. You can see all of Holland State Park and Lake Macatawa, it's a jewel in Holland! A must do!

“What a view!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

A must do! Great views of Lake Michigan and Holland Channel from the top of this sand dune. Must advise that there are a lot of stairs to get to the top but also have rest stops if needed.

“Dune ruined!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

A once fun and natural dune for climbing from Pines campground has been absolutely ruined by a giant staircase up the Macatawa side. Steps are there as part of "preservation" effort to save a bit of dune grass on the Lake Mich facing side. Ironic to save an environment with paved walks and huge steps structure from bottom to top.

Oh well, there is still the much larger dune complex at Saugatuck State Park, where neither development nor preservationists have deterred both enjoyment and beauty.
