The room was so nice and clean. Plenty of towels and cups. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. Great area to stay especially if you want to shop
Stayed with a family of 7 in one of the suites. We wanted to attend the Muskegon fair without being too close. Rooms were basic, but had plenty of space. 2 queens, a divider half-wall, and a pull out sofa bed.
Hotel was fairly clean and staff was friendly. Another great thing for us was the location. The hotel is in the parking lot of a Super Wal-Mart and right off the main highway. Gas, mall, and convenience stores are all right there.
The hotel offered Manager's night during the week with nachos, pretzels, and cookies. Nice touch. Breakfast was basic fruit, cereal, muffins, and the 'make your own' waffle machine.
Staff was very accomodating. They let us store food in their fridge downstairs which I thought was nice.
The pool was clean and well stocked with towels.
Only negatives I can point to are that the guest Internet computer was painfully slow or broken during most of our stay. Also I thought the guest laundry machines were a little high at $2.50 each.
Would definately recommend and stay here again.
We were traveling late and needed a place to stop for the night. We were were headed toward Grand Rapids and figured we could get a better deal on the outskirts of town. We stopped at The Residence Inn to compare prices, but it was much more than the Comfort Suites (but it was newer too.) Since we were just needing somewhere for the night, we chose the Comfort Suites.
Check-in was a breeze. The lobby had a strange smell, but the halls and the room did not. The room was little out dated, but comfortable. It did have a couch which was nice. The sink and counter were outside the bathroom, which made it nice for someone to shower or use the restroom while the other one was getting ready. The room also featured a refrigerator and microwave and the free high speed internet was very helpful to us. We didn't make it to the breakfast, nor did we swim, but all in all, our stay was pleasant and I would recommend it to someone wanting a decent stay in a nice area of town. There is tons of shopping places and restaurants. We felt safe in this area.
My husband and I attended our niece's son's wedding this past week and we stayed here for 3 nights. First of all, the front desk people were very pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was average except for the belgian waffle maker. They did run out of most breakfast foods for 2 mornings even though they knew they would have 3 wedding groups staying there for the weekend. The suites are large and comfortable including the bed. There is very good soundproofing-no noise at night even with all the parties going on. They do have an inside pool and hot tub and they have an adult only swim from 10pm-12am which is very nice. The only thing that really displeased us was the poor housekeeping. Our room was neither dusted or vacuumed for 2 days and the dirty glasses were not removed although they did give us clean glasses. A Walmart was behind the suites for all you Walmart fans. There is also a Paneras and a Cracker Barrel across the street. Great places to eat! Also. a fabulous mall is down the street.
