Description: Overlooking the brewing facilities, our Taproom allows customers a look into where the beer magic happens. It’s a great testing ground for us, and on any particular day you will find numerous products on draft available only at Founders. The unique offering of specialty beers, the laid back atmosphere, and thrice-weekly live music has helped to make our Taproom a staple in the Grand Rapids community and a destination for travelers.

“It's all about the beer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2012

Nothing fancy about this place, except maybe the beer. From Pale Ales to Porter, the selection is fantastic. The menu consists of deli sandwhiches, overstuffed and made to order. Don't go here if you're in a hurry. Go when you take your time to sit and enjoy! You won't be disappointed.

“1st & 3rd Sundays”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

This is when we go to enjoy good food, special beers and the Grand Rapids Jazz Orchestra. My favorite beer is....they won't let me write the dirty name. Go to the Taproom of Foyunder's site.

“Wish I lived closer!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

The wife and I were out on the road and in need of lunch and a craft beer. Luckily we held out and made the drive to Founders. Great downtown location. Very unique looking building with brewery on premises. Almost like an addition to an old factory where the front of the building opens right up onto an elevated patio. Much like an old factory inside as well with a hipster vibe. Packed on a wednesday afternoon and for good reason. Servers that are happy to help and with a real smile. Food that is well above your typical pub fare. I had the meatiest ruben I've ever had. Large selection of sandwiches and even a build your own menu. Paired with a very smooth oatmeal stout, I was so glad we tried Founders. Pros: everything Cons: I live in Chicago, not Grand Rapids. I would go back anytime.

“Is that Beer I smell?”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

It is as the title states a Brewing Co. so be prepared for the small of beer and sticky floors. Open, loud and social it is a great place to go grab a beer with your friends. The guys behind the counter serving the local made beer are an absolute scream - make sure to ask them to describe the beers quite an education.

“Love the pulled pork”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

It was a different experience. They take your drink orders but you have to go up in line to order your food. The pulled pork was out of this world, the favor was crave-able (not sure if that's a word). The only problem was that the sandwich is given to you in a wire basket with one sheet of wax paper in the basket. Not sure if they wash the baskets. Didn't like them leaking thru the bottom. It is a very large sandwich. Several years ago Founders hosted a neighborhood party for Art Prize and gave samples of beer. They had this cherry beer that was quite good. Thought I'd have that but they were out of all fruit beers. If you're looking for an experience then head on over to there. Lots of action.
